well damnit. I just listed 3 legit items. Selling some macbook pros. The account is 3 months old with no feedback. Its been suspended before and I went through the verifing crap. They reinstated it and I sold all 3 but everyone was a damn scammer. Relisted today and only one has shown up in the listing search. I guess ill wake up tomorrow to "your listings have been taken down" bs.

Yes, unfortunately as Modee says it's true. I used to sell laptops to europe that I purchased at tigerdirect, and just have them sent straight to europe b/c it was so profitable. Unfortunately, ebay and paypal considered them high risk even though they were legit, and I have since given up on laptops, because I kept getting limited, suspended, etc. The same thing happened trying to sell cameras, gps, etc. All items would have been bought at a local store and then sent overseas. I have moved on to a different area, but not nearly the traffic or profit unfortunately.

Well things is I tried to sell them back in like november when i opened the account. Of course suspended within the first day. I sent all my "info" to ebay and paypal. Got reinstated and relisted, suspended again. Resent crap and reinstated again. Relisted and completed sale and was fine for a few days until i tried to move the funds to my bank account, of course account limited, ebay suspended. Just got an email about a month ago randomly saying my account was unlimited and my ebay account unsuspened. So I put the stuff back up. I have the paypal debit card this time and plan on having payment sent and immediatly withdrawing from atm/getting money orders before sending.

The way I figure it I may be ok because im selling on an ebay account thats 3 months old with a paypal account thats 6 months old and has been issued a debit card.

I HOPE haha

I had a two year old powerseller account suspended in August forever, for selling legit laptops, but anyway best of luck, maybe you can win it.

Default How to get immediate listings displayed - Help !

Guys,

Can anyone shed light on the listings schedule of Ebay.

I have read various posts but nothing is concrete with regards to
the question.

I need to get my listings displayed immediately, so they don't go
through the automated filtering system.

I have just had an account suspended, it was 6 months old had
27 feedbacks and sold 27 items. I noticed half way through my
delightful marriage to Ebay that as soon as i had confirmed the
listings, i searched for the item and it was displayed in under
a minute, 2-3 mins max. I was not paypal verified account was
limited (another long story)

What do you think are the key variables to getting adverts
dispayed almost instantanously and in what order ????

HI, Richie:
Well, I personally do not feel there is any given day better to list, or not.
The items also appear for me sometimes within 5 minutes, other times, up to 6 hours.
I think they randomly select listings.
ALSO- this not only happens on new accts, I run acct that are very old, with strong fb, happens the same way, for me.
--So, my conclusion is there is no exact , precise method to avoid it, when we are talkign about a generic item.. Now, VERO items are totally different, they sometimes sit for over 10 hours...

It is odd ! I would have put it down to catagorisation, account length time held, feedback, cost of item for sale, ie low high, vero etc but no one seems
to know, there is definately a system in place of some discription because my account listed over 50 items that got taken off everytime but immediately got relisted when i tried again, even the same listings !

Several factors affect time:

A) Web scripts inside your listing. Like cross promoters, you tube clips, etc.. They are a security risk. Don't use them at all and it's almost instant.

B) How much people searching for it.. If no one searching for FOO, it will take longer, than when someone is searching for FOO..

C) Remotely linked pictures.

D) Gallery, featured, etc.. Insertion into featured takes longer.

Mr Wolf, I ALWAYS use gallery featured and remotely linked photos, but get patterns of time. Like, in the evening, it may take up to 10 minutes or so, but in the day it's usually pretty instant.

So I don't think those two make much of a difference. But VERO items certainly do. I've listed vero items that have taken nearly a day to appear in the listings. I am guessing that was why I never had the option to do a one day listing on them

Daaaa...

B) How much people searching for it..

It gets indexed faster if people are searching for it.. It is not a linear system, with first come first serve.. Speed of indexing depends on demand..

Demand in the evening is lower on your items.. For some items, damand in the evening is higher..

Featured will affect it.. Do a none featured to compare..

Remotely linked pictures do play a role as well..

I never had a featured go up in anything under 6 hours. Yet, same item none featured goes up instantely.. Also, VeRO never had an effect on the speed..

Worst time to list is midnight EST.. You'd wake up at six, search for it, and it's still not there.. No indexing, low demand or hits at night.

My immediate listings were very abstract so i dont think the indexing (how long people are searching for it was actually applicable in this case) but could be in many others. I searched and it was immediate, day or night

So if i typed the word of the product in the search bar, which i had just listed, with the speed of indexing coming on demand. I could just sit and hit the search key a hundred times to get a faster listing !!!! Am i right ?

Default Auctiva Puts Listing In High Risk Mode

I noticed today i listed some listings on ebay on a 6 month old account and they listed instaly right after i got done. I did a search by seller and they poped right up then i opened a auctiva account and boom all my listings are gone in search by seller so only way i can view them is click view in text formatt so it seems eGay was to inspect listing done through auctiva and delay the viewing of the item by buyers like 7 hours

Default Why....?

Why, if you set up two auctions, sometimes does one appear immediately and the other after 6+ hours? O_o?

Shortest answer... the mystery of ebay. Nearly impossible to define why.

Do you mean 2 identical listings? If not, then depending on the category or keywords you use (VERO for example), will depict when it goes live.
