You get so many 'free' listings when you have a shop.

Its worth experimenting to see if its cost efficient for you. Or indeed If it works fpor your items.

Is the trade of being a new listing better than having the sales history with a GTC listing? I thought the "Best Match" search gave priority to listings with lots of sales history? Always see those on top that has hundreds of sales

Ending soonest is a very STRONG best match. If I could I would run 1 day listings.

I will try out some of those 3 day BIN and see how it goes, I'm guessing it will depend a lot on the popularity of the item

Sales are going up for me. I started seeing a spike Sunday and Monday. Stuff that I listed last night has sold on a few accounts.

I'm almost all out of items! Not sure I want to import anything right night though.

December was overall good. Jan has been slow thus far. Pretty much expected. I am still thankful for my Amazon sales. It was a decent boost in sales. I will say I have unique items not listed per say by other users so it helps.

I sell seasonal products for the most part so even though it is in season Jan has always been slower than X-Mas season. You are right about the bickering though.

January tends to be slower - less disposable income for many who are paying holiday bills

Hahahaha I can't believe this thread is still going..

Seems like there is always a "slow" month. I personally think it all has to do with what your selling. Alot of people who complain its "slow" dont really mention what they're selling.

Not that they have to, but what you sell plays a big part on ebay.

The market is always changing.

December was a record month for me. But a big part of that was due to my watch sales which I ramped up. Watch sales have stopped completely. Was expected tho.

I do sells softwares and they are hot items. I am pretty sure that it is not about what you sell.

Ebay gives priority to top rated and new sellers

Spread your sales out over more accounts and keep rotating in newer Accounts, because I agree with you that sales are better on Newer Accounts

I'll create accounts make the first sale right away and than let them sit for a few months and when you go back to them they still get the sales a New account gets and you also can list a little more aggressive than an account that is brand new

It's aged a few months which gives the account more strength but it is still new to selling so you get that nice traffic new accounts seem to be getting

I think it is great that this posting is still active and always make a point to come back and read up on the additions to it whenever I notice someone else has added something to it, there is a wealth of info in here that is always useful to pick up on, that and the fact that quite often it is a laugh as well! So I say keep up on it everyone and add your 2 penneth worth to it ( just to add a bit of traditional Brit talk to it!) as I haven't quite got back onto adding my latest account I haven't really got anything useful to add to add to the discussion yet
