ARE your sales still slow this month? Oct - Nov 2014

I was having a record breaking month. Sales up 40% across the board, from an already record breaking last month.

Friday 6 sales, Saturday 7 sales, Sunday, 1 sale, Monday 0 sales, today 0 sales.
sunday and monday are normally my best days too.

Lots of variables to consider.

Last week I was real slow, then sat & sun was booming!

Which variables tho? I'm still selling the same stuff as before. My sales have always been very consistent. I've even got more stuff up then normal.

Competitors, rankings, holidays, time of month (payday). Lots of things to consider.

Depends on the market too

Usually the 1st and the 15th are the best days of the month as most people get paid on those days.. Holidays are almost always slower. It's generally slower before Thanksgiving and then it ramps up until Christmas.. lots of variables.

So I checked my sales from this time last year. The amount of sales I had were 30% of what my average months are at the moment. And that was with 5 times less listings for sale last year. October 2013 was actually damn good for me, especially considering how few items I had up at that time, by comparison.

I sell watch parts, which range from $20-160. So not expensive, and not a gift item, and something that people buy at any time of the year because they need to fix their watch.

I'm not seeing the variable that would make my sales fall to 90% from every other day the past 6 months. Something is going on. Perhaps people aren't seeing my listings anymore or something. I don't know.

I agree with you, there is something going on with eBay, and listing visibility, I definetLy think it has glitches just like the rest of eBay and paypal .

Sometimes it seems like things are normal and sales are flying and other times it's like shut off, at first I thought maybe it was,all other variables , but there is too much of a variance that doesn't make sense

And the same items are flying on Amazon, and I'll have 3 good days on eBay than 5 days of nothing, just too strange to have 3 days in a row with 100 sales and the next 3 zero

Ebay is flawed right now , they need to correct things , just too many system glitches, so if everything else is glitchy I think the search is as well

Last month seen a huge amount in drops and some days I'd go without selling items on my main account and normally do 5 to 15 per day and had 3 days in a row of 0 sales.

Ebay got pulled by google for horrible SEO work. Traffic dropped I seen the chart by a member on here who sent it to me.

No problem here. I am going on a record year. I'm still stocking up for the Christmas season.

Yep. Another days, another $0. No variables explains 40 sales the first 10 days and 2 sales the next 5 days .

Last month was absolutely great, pulled in quite a bit. But yeah, sales have been kind of here and there this month. We were kinda off to a bad start this first 1-2 weeks, especially since I had an entire week and a half of sales in the beginning that were basically deadbeats.

re: ARE your sales still slow this month? Oct - Nov 2014

End of day 6, and 0 sales.

Anyone else want to claim that 40 sales in first 10 days and 2 sales in the next 6 days is just some fluke, with many variables in play?

Called ebay, they didn't know ****. Said my account looked amazing, blah blah blah. Never heard of throttling. Said that the last 3 months, the economy has been bad. Had no explanation why despite a bad economy, my last 3 months just keep ( until now...) getting more and more sales.

But he did give me an extra $15k a month listing limit... Thanks... That will help me a lot.

This week has been super slow. I was actually looking to start a thread to see if anyone was experiencing the same thing.

No one can guess their items on day, it's depending on many things, such us: Holidays, sale off, etc...

I am 100% sure that it is a visibility issue. Perhaps a glitch.

The real question is ''will they fix it?''

Same threads on Amazon. Oct has been record slow.

Business reports suggest retail spending is down. They dont know why. Summer showed an increase in the economy and latest report says we are stalled.

One the plus side they say oil keeps falling and should help soon.

I am at a stand still on sales across amazon/ebay. It will pick up after halloween.
