| | | nostro | 10-23-2014 11:32 AM | eBay Returns with Stealth Account I'm trying to determine the best way to handle returns from a stealth account. I don't plan on having many returns but in the event this occurs I need to know the best way(s) to handle this from a stealth account.
The stealth address is not something they can ship to but I do have a UPS mailbox that they can ship to. I was thinking of using "Returns Department" or "Shipping Dept." on the Return Shipping Label for these returns.
Does the UPS store offer return shipping labels that I can simply email to the buyer and be done with it?
What is the best way to communicate this to the buyer without eBay noticing? Can I tell the buyer to just check their email for the Return Shipping Label?
If the buyer should open a case, can I communicate inside the case for them to check their email for the Return Shipping Label? Thanks In Advance |

| pokerpro | 10-23-2014 01:28 PM | Re: eBay Returns with Stealth Account I would simply tell any buyers....."No problem, I am now having a company handle/process my returns, here's the return address?
I have found people have no problems with this IF I refund their money. The only time I've ever had a problem, was when I had not returned their money already. Then, they get "hinkey" about it. |
Re: eBay Returns with Stealth Account In the past I just put a note inside the shipped package telling them if any problems can return to this address and that worked for me all the time |

It's ok to discuss this through the eBay email where eBay can also see it? |
| pokerpro | 10-24-2014 04:40 AM | Re: eBay Returns with Stealth Account Well, unless they do a real account review, you're probably OK, but it does carry somewhat of a risk, no matter how minimal.....I do it....but i have maybe 6 returns a year.....if it was 6 a week, I would not do it thru ebay messages. |

I'm thinking I could reply in the eBay email and have them check their personal email account for Return Instructions.
That shouldn't be a problem with eBay, should it?
Also, if they should open a case instead of just emailing, is it ok to do the same in the case comments? i.e. have them check their email for return instructions? |
| elipse | 10-24-2014 08:41 AM | Re: eBay Returns with Stealth Account I should also add that if you are shipping from a different address than the one on your paypal, make sure you don't put the item location on ebay listing because your buyers might contact you to pick the item if they see you are within the vicinity. |

Did you stop putting "Multiple Locations, USA" in your listings? | IT Still works fine, on my accounts I just put UNITED STATES as shown above, and never any issues |
| Salvo | 10-27-2014 01:31 PM | Re: eBay Returns with Stealth Account Best advice I received from another member, was to simply black out the address on the printed label and attach a sticker with my own "return" address.
eb never knows, and if it is damaged in shipment it still is returned to me at the address I stuck on. I'm sure most buyers wouldn't notice, or think that the address just changed and they never updated the eb account. |

I haven't looked into it maybe u did, but I have a feeling that with the prepaid postage everything is done electronically
So if there is a problem and it needs to be returned to sender, they get that info from the barcodes
Now I'm just asking , I don't know how it works , but I just have a feeling everything may totally on what is on the barcodes and not what is written or labeled over |
| nostro | 10-29-2014 01:28 PM | Re: eBay Returns with Stealth Account The main issue that I'm afraid of in these scenarios is if you have different stealth accounts but only one mailbox, you could get caught by eBay if they somehow catch wind of that one mailbox belonging to multiple seller accounts..
Is there an easy solution to this or does it get more complicated with multiple stealth accounts?
Do you have to get multiple mailboxes (costly) or is there some better solution to this that anybody is aware of? Thanks for any help. |
