Just out of curiosity. Not referring to this forum but in general...I'm guessing off information here it seems like when Paypal and Ebay merged together?
That would be awesome if things go back to how to they were or better yet improve off that this up coming year.

It was needed because eBay and PP were banning lots of innocent people and a lot of these people lost their livelihood because of it.
It didn't help the fact that scammers ruined it for the good guys, but the way eBay n PP acted was like an immature kid who didn't have experience on how to handle things for the better.
That's my take on it... and yes, I was one of those ppl impacted heavily the first time I was banned for no reason whatsoever.

I don't really blame eBay for being so paranoid. I mean just look at these stealth boards and look at how many people are looking for help selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff, not shipping 30 packages and being pissed at eBay for closing their accounts, etc. Some people are even looking at pointers on how to outright rip off customers on eBay!

There is no way things will go back to how it was..
Stealth was born out of nessecety. It was born from wrongful suspensions and poor communication from eBay. Ebay should have worked with sellers instead of shutting them out completely. They have the potential to do that now but they seem to be going in the opposite direction.

Do you have a opinion on the separation and what that might mean for us?

I can attest that since opening 20 accounts and as I start to sell, each account has its own pluses/minuses. Its weird. I thought everyone here was paranoid freaks when I first came to this site. The more I sell, the more stealth is becoming my LIFE. Shortcut needs to be erased from anyones vocabulary running stealth accounts (if you want it to last).

Only way is forwards, and sideways to make sure to beat ebay/paypal. |

Whenever someone's livelihood is being taking away from them, you can sure bet there going to do everything in there power to get it back, simply as that. There was a need, and aspkin supplied the knowledge for many people get back on!
As far as paypal separation, i wouldn't think too much about it. I dont see it changing much for us, atleast not within the next few years.

With my first major business online, where I sold virtual currencies for online games, we had a strong presence on eBay and with myself as the lead generation manager (I brought in the sales whether it was from the search engines or large marketplaces such as eBay), one morning I woke up with a suspension notice. We lost a good chunk of sales (possibly 1/5 of sales came from eBay.. thousands per day) we couldn't just give up on that.. so through tons of trial and error and the knowledge of the ins and outs of how websites work for tracking (etc), AND being a blogger.. the first eBay Suspension guide was created. It was soon followed by several other mini-guides including: Final eBay Suspension / Suspended Account Guide | Aspkin's World
EBay suspensions for the most part started at that point...

I was banned from ebay a long time ago, tried making a new account and failed (this was before I knew about stealth).
Somehow, I was lucky enough to stumble onto this website and spent years perfecting stealth. Now I am selling more than I ever was.
Sorry, I got sidetracked. Stealth became necessary when Ebay started acting like a tyrant. Throwing away people's income by unfairly suspending accounts. Stealth was born out of necessity.
