Default Verizon Mobile Hotspot IPs

I ran a single account for a few years from a verizon hotspot from my iphone, never logged ips. Of course like everyone else here suspension came and that account is gone. Now have gone the stealth route with multiple accounts and everything is running smooth but i'm still running the accounts using the verizon hotspot. How possible is it to land on one of those old ips from my old suspended account and ebay suspending the next one? Ebay doesn't recognize that these are mobile IP addresses that anyone can land on at anytime? Seems kinda ridiculous.

An IP alone is not too much of a problem. Its when there are other similarities that it starts to add up.

So long as you are tracking the IP addresses now I would not worry too much about the IP addresses you used with your original account.

Not so much of an issue with EB, but ideally you want to keep the items different if you can.

I would look more towards names, addresses, pictures, discriptions ect ect

I live a heavily populated area (Brooklyn, NY) and I still log my I.P's via phone tethering. When you log them you will find that I.P's repeat...maybe like once every 30 I.P changes ...sometimes I get 3-4 old I.Ps in a row. Log everything

Names are stealth names, completely different. Addresses are in 2 different states which border each other. Pics are new and cleaned with EXIF cleaner. Descriptions are never same I try to word them differently. Just worries me some about the IP but i'll take your word for it.

If a I.P triggers a MC999 its usually fast but can happen at anytime. If your out of the 1-2 week window, you should be fine.

The only time you may run into issues on IP alone is if you go though 3 or 4 stealth using the same IP address day in day out for a few days. Otherwise its not strong enough to link by itself.

If you want to elimate all chance of getting a IP repeated that has been used on your previous account, simply swap ISP, or even switch upto 4G or down to 3G, depending which you are currently using.

Why is it not recommended to use public IP's then (correct me if I'm wrong)? For instance I live in NYC and if I wanted to I have could jump around day to day for a long time with just small public coffee shops that provide a wifi. If its a matter of how old the account is I can see that making more sense.

By the way I use photo tethering and works wonders. I never have seen the I.P repeat more than once or within a couple days more than once. I think I'd die from paranoia if I didn't log I.Ps though haha.

If you do sell similar items, don't make the same mistake as I
did which was using an address with the same zip code as
your suspended account had. Account will go down within weeks.
I learned it the hard way

No I definately will never open another ebay account in that same zipcode. Addresses are endless!

Because anytime you are using a connection that is shared by who knows how many people, the chances of those IPs being abused (by multiple people sometimes) is high.

You probably wouldn't be instantly suspended just because you logged into your account via public wifi, but it's something that can be a red flag if the IP is "dirty".

Even if it's not a huge chain coffee shop, you're still taking risks you don't have to since there are lots of other options in the US for IPs.

How is this not the same when your using phone tethering? Its not like there is infinite amount of I.P's...are they not getting recycled yet? I agree with what you said, as I don't use coffee shops just throwing that out there.
