So I have a UK Three network 4G LTE sim, and I use it as a wifi hotspot to connect to one of my stealths...
Thinking of making a new stealth now, but when I reboot the phone / take battery out etc. it doesnt always change the IP.
Using a Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE.
Any ideas? An app for that maybe?

When it comes to Phones, the IP is based on a few things:
1. Your Location
2. The Network
The problem might be the 4G/LTE Network, the same problem occurs here in the US as well....There are far less IP's to go around in the 4G/LTE network with your current provider. Have you tried going down to 3G? you might get more IP's.

That is quite a good point you actually make. Hadnt crossed my mind.
Would be eager to hear what others have to say, especially if anyone is in the same boat has me.

4G IP pool is pretty small still.
Best option is as MM78 suggests and swap over to 3G for a while.

Thanks
1 - Am I doing it right, as in restart the phone to get new ip or is there another way?
2 - Can you switch from 4G to 3G with the flick of a button? FYI Im on a contract pay monthly.

You can just put the phone into airplane mode for a new IP.
You should be able to set the network settings in the phone settings. Just select 3G

Thanks for that, I actually just did airplane mode method you suggested and on 4G, I managed to get 5 different IP's everytime I switched airplane on/off.
Surprised to see the 4G IP pool has increased since I last tried a few months back.

Constantly increasing as more and more people get 4G capable phones.
Should be big enough to have no issues at all early next year.

JamesNorth101 is right - 4G pool is pretty small. I must say using a 4G 02 dongle though it does work well, however, I do come across the same IP fairly often so making sure you track yours will be key

I think it has a lot to do with network... I was with EE a few months back and restarting phone wouldnt give a new IP... Three seems to be working great and your 02 as well. So those would be good to stick to.

It was all to do with the IP pool being small upon launch of 4G EE in the UK, changed networks now with Three Uk (4G) and IP pool is larger, time has also passed by so 4G has gotten bigger, now I have no problem getting a new IP.
Your solution is great, I see where your coming from, just a bit of a hassle changing sims over etc. and no guarantee an IP change will actually occur, but thanks anyway.

If your phone is unlocked and you have 2 differnt network SIM cards then you can 100% guarentee a new IP each time you swap the SIMs (so long as the companies do not have an over lapping IP pool which is possible, but I have yet to see evidence of)
