I feel my products are always changing, I guess you have to constantly be researching and finding suppliers, and testing new products

It's all part of the business, even if you stay with a category, there's always the next best coming out and you always need to make sure your supplier will have it or find ones that do

And always have more than one supplier to keep prices honest

I couldn't agree more. I became somewhat complacent in the past 3-4 years. Not really looking at how technology has changed has the platforms have changed etc. In any business you need to keep growing and evolving.

Like Dmshark25 says. Always keep your eye open for that next item or product to sell. Even if it is that small ticket item to sell on the side and is not your core business. That has really propelled my growth over the past year is getting a bunch of smaller ticket lower profit items but has boosted my ratings on eBay exponentially. After 10 years slowly starting to venture over onto Amazon and a few other places. Lastly, I will agree with the last comment. Never rely solely on one supplier/wholesaler, etc. The more diversity you have the less risk if one can't come through for you at any period of time.

Honestly, it has to be above a certain price range, or it's really not worth my time.. IMO whatever works; it's all about the money. I've just used stealth methods just to boost my success rate.. Everyone has a method to their madness.

Not recommended, but I don't follow the stealth book 100% either. However, I've found workarounds and things that just work out for me.. with minor gripes every now and then. One of the things you learn in this business is to keep chugging, and NEVER give up. Good luck.

When you drop ship however, you have less control over the process. Only if you have verified, trusted drop shippers that you can rely on at all times. Not easy to find....

I have noticed some people on here making tons of sales.
Would be interested in getting a sense of how many stealthys sell new, used,Drop Ship goods, etc.....

In reality, you should be able to sell anything on eBay, but you have to be very careful when you sell branded items (VERO).

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, sell a branded item and deliver something generic or something that is not exactly what is pictured or described in the listing. If you attempt something like that, you might as well kiss your account goodbye...:nono:

There are some foo foo items that you can sell and have relatively no problems. It is about one in a thousand from what I have seen. Most people on here complaining are selling foo foo items. Even those few outliers still put accounts potentially at high risk. None the less, if you business plan is buy of Alibaba or some Chinese website and try to resell on eBay. Chances are you are going to get product that is different every time you order and it is going to fail. Especially if you are buying foo foo branded goods.

I will chime in since its such a vast market.

vintage items. nice market if u know what your doing, but it can take years to really learn.

I would recommend if your looking for things to sell to focus on something you may like or have a knowledge already on. also it helps if you have a passion for something to sell that.

take a tech nerd, who always wants the latest gadget or fashion something u already like or are interested in.

or a gear head and old car parts.

just a tip

I completely agree with you. Fashion is my thing so I sell fashion items. I used to be obsess with jewelry and started off selling fashion jewelry but now the market is over saturated especially with cheap sellers from china. No matter what, you always have to keep re-inventing yourself when you are selling online.

I gotta give the Chinese an A for effort, they are experts in making things they sell look fabulous but when you get them, they usually look cheap as hell! lol.

Vague statement lol Everything is made in China, so they certainly do make nice things too lol
My companies over seas only do high end precision machining and extrusion molds. They really cant make a cheap product in my industry BUT a hundred companies in the same city can make decent copies of my product for about 20% of the cost. Sucks to compete with decent when you have exceptional LOL

SO we I started buying the decent stuff, along with the cheap stuff and relatively controlling the siphon points. If it was a bigger industry, it would be absolutely impossible.

I was selling jewelry, mainly in the $300 to $500 range. Now I'm switching to items $100 or less and have moved my higher end over vintage jewelry to Ruby Lane. A lot better place to be for sure.

Too many scammers with jewelry these days.;)
