MC999 Your eBay account limits have been changed?

Hello everyone!

I just got this E.mail and i'm confused, when I saw this I was like "aw one of my oldest stealth accounts are just gone"

When I went to the e.mail that's what I found :

To help you be a successful seller and ensure a safe experience on eBay, we sometimes change limits on accounts. Account limits allow us to learn about your selling activity and to make sure you're adhering to our selling practices policy and performance standards. Limits vary by seller and can change over time.

"You can now sell up to 75 items monthly and up to $ 2000.00 monthly. If you currently have more items (active items for sale and sold items) this month than your limits allow, you should reduce the number of listings you have on the site. Any listings that place you over your current limits may be automatically removed."


It was 500$ 4 months ago, 2 months later it went to 1k$ and now it's 2k$! :D

I wonder, is this e.mail is good or bad? Because when they raise limits I know they should write "You can list now even more" and the title is with MC999...

MC999 is just a general notice. It can mean many many things.

In this case its a good MC999 so congrats

ebay are making MC999 several different matters.


This email is one of the nice reasons.

Good work there to get increases.

Congrats on the raise! Take advantage of it and don't abuse it, they will lower it if you mess up!

Yep haha, i was in shocked too.


And I know if I mess up my limits will decreased so I make sure to do everything slow and smart.

But my real question is, even though I have 2k limits now, I can easily reach that amount but the main question is, should i? I'm scared to receive an e.mail of PayPAL "WE LIMIT your account until we here from you" because then i can't provide any documents since it's stealth..

Or if I do it without 0 cases the chances of being blocked or request docuements is very low? so far I received on this Paypal that connected to that e.bay around 2k$ with 0 disputes and about 80 transactions.

PayPal old is 5 months, same as Ebay.

Everyone operates differently so you will need to make that decision yourself.

But in my experience go slow, I have pushed accounts before that were just raised in limits and had the account restricted

It also depends on what your selling too, there's a lot of factors, but to be safe it's always best to ease into your account when the limits get raised, always have a steady progression, large spikes will raise flags

Some of my Ebay accounts are selling vero items, does PayPal can know when i'm selling VeRo? or it's just Ebay?

PayPal will be able to see what item payment has been received for.

If you sell Brand name than go very slow, that's the difference, if you were selling dollar store unbranded items than I'd say go ahead and list to the limits, but with branded you need to be very careful
