Well you can increase your data plan ... I mean you would be doing the same with a dongle I believe. Its worth it to pay extra on your phone bill, just makes life easier, and one less device to worry about.

makes sense too. but as i am doing more research on this forum, seems like tethering gives u repeat ip addresses and have less range thn dongle. what do u think

In order to get your limits increased that way they'll try to verify your identity by asking you questions pulled from public databases. Since the name you used is made up they wont find anything which means that they'll either tell you they cant increase your limit - or outright suspend your account (low probability but does happen sometimes).

Not true, they'll ask you for photo id and utility bill.

It can be either of the three possibilities.

If the rep is nice, then he/she will say that they won't be able to increase your limits or maybe even increase them slightly despite not finding you in public records. But usually they will say you'll need to submit documents.

While looking through your account, if they find something suspicious or a cause for concern (like maybe using a popular VPN to access the account, linking you to random suspended accounts), then the rep would permanently suspend your account at this stage.

Which is why it's not worth it. Many more bad things can happen compared to good.

OK....heres the deal with tethering.

1) Depends where you live, if you live a in a populated area you experience LESS repeats

2) Repeats aren't a problem because your tracking IP's every log in right??

3) Its easy to use for ALL accounts

4) Cost productive

I've used it for a year and have had nothing but success. Have I screwed up tracking IP's? ...yes and I'm sure you will to. Once you get the hang of it you will love it. Just my 2 cents

It is exactly the same. I mean, lets say you have Verizon on your phone and then you buy a flashed Verizon Mifi off ebay. It is the exact same IP pool...

So if you have say, ATT on your phone and then buy a Verizon mifi, you would have a new ISP and more IPs.

To be honest, I get so few repeat IP with 3g wireless devices, that say a year from now, I repeat an IP, it is not even a concern of mine. I would not even flnch.

We have a member on this forum running five separate accounts off of one IP for more than a year with no issues. Clearly they are not selling anything risky and maybe not very much, but it puts things into perspective. I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THIS, just making an example.

Have you bought the stealth guide? Making accounts is time consuming and if you don't know how to protect them, it's a complete waste of time because if one goes down, they all go down!

Buy the stealth guide - it's worth the money because it will save you time and money in the long run.

As for the dongle, I use my iphone as a hotspot. I also have a virgin prepaid that works well in my area but it's unreliable in other parts of the country.
