Aren't those accounts stable enough and worth it to get an EIN? Or you're just looking to avoid taxes completely?

It really depends on a slew of things for me and it has nothing to do with taxes.

I don't particularly want say 50 EIN eBay accounts. Also new accounts can outperform small accounts in many ways. It is less risk to liquidate inventory. Get around MSRP and dealer restrictions without pissing all your competitors off. All one off items(one of a kind or very minimal inventory) all gets sold on stealth accounts.

Also I have a lot of partners. I don't need to split profit on every single purchase or new venture.

I get to play with new products without everyone knowing every aspect or where it comes from etc...

So many advantages of stealth for me. I turn and burn them up until today anyways.

Yeah I know you have many more valid reasons than most of us, since you have many EIN already, but many here have none and avoid it at all costs without a valid enough reason, and then something like this happens where PayPal gets limited when it can be avoided, obviously not on all accounts but a few of the big limits ones it's good just to not worry about limits on some items that are cheap and move a ton where many accounts will be needed instead

Do they actually reset your account if you already got a request from them for SS # at years end?

If you get the request and STOP selling, sometime in january the new year reset occurs. If you keep on selling you will get restricted and have to add an EIN/etc..

This year I have many EIN PP's so I don't even use a quarter of the accts I used in the past. I got the courage up to use way less accts. I sell much more now plus the large feedback brings in higher average prices!

Yes....if you sell 75 times in january......they figure you are for sure are going to go over 200.........just another reason to have "more accounts than you need"......IMO there is no such thing as spreading sales across too many accounts......it's too easy to avoid that 200/20K..........no reason to cross that line..........

I agree, my issue with spreading sales around has always been the risk of listing the same item in multiple accounts (not at the same time) and ebay noticing in a manual review or competitors noticing and report you. It's sometimes hard and time consuming to make the listings/pictures look completely different. How do you guys handle that? Different templates for each account?

How are you with photoshop?
I sell items in a category with very few sellers selling similar product, comparing to other categories on ebay. I currently have 4 accounts with same items.
I list them different price, in some accounts they are 'used items', in other they are being listed as new. Some have free shipping only and some use both auction and BIN. Some offer international shipping, some don't. I take pictures indoor and outdoor. Some have 4 pictures and in some accounts the same items have only 2 pictures. i use photoshop with some accounts to make photos sharper and better. Some pictures are square some are rectangle. I have had zero issues so far (knock on wood, spit on cats etc)
No templates use. I use different fonts in size and color in description section.

Yes, Gonzo is doing it correctly.......change backgrounds etc., and all that he said.......It starts out being a pain, but once you get in the habit it's easy.
