Yeah I have one of these too. they actually are a matter of linking up to a public database in creation and things making sense. I see now there is a reason behind many accounts like these. I will not delve into what exactly has to match up but EBAY does give these accounts when you do things in a matching database fashion.

They dont really serve much of a purpose to me, sure you can list more and get paid with higher end items, that is the great part. Having 5000 items listed. But it wont do much good if you trigger a EIN force page as I dont want to go that route with taxes.

Congratulations mate! I've only managed to get 10/1000 and trust me it's really a pain and hits you bad.

I'm not sure about what venue you have but eBay US, has been really pushing up limits the last 6 months, so those 10/1000 will jump often and quick, hopefully that's the case for you soon

Now by 3 months in my accounts are already raised multiple times and have limits of 680/15,000

Before you needed to really work an account and wait 90 days just to reach 100/5000

So it seems they have a new philosophy going on .com hopefully the other venues are experiencing the same

Ya my experience recently is that ebay is handing out 5/500 accounts left and right but they are also letting up on the limit increases.

Within the first 30 days of an account I will usually get jumped to at least 20 if not 30 items per month. So it is not so horrible with the 5/500.
Actually I think the limit increases come quicker with 5/500 accounts vs 10/1,000
