opening ebay.AU account and use from another country

Hello,
Currently in Mauritius Paypal does not accept receiving money, and I would like to start selling on ebay. I have family in Australia who can open an account both on ebay and paypal with bank account or CC.
what I would like to know is will I be able to use the ebay.AU account here in Mauritius? and I planned to ship from Mauritius as well or china(dropshipping) will that be a problem also?

You will have issues doing this. Firstly, its never a great idea to use family to open accounts unless they know Stealth methods and dont use their own IP address, real details and so on. If they do use those, theres a risk of linking any real accounts they have with yours, and in the event of issues on either side, a link is created between accounts.

The second is that eBay will know that your IP doesnt match an Australian IP address, and that will raise a flag and could also lead to account suspension.

Thirdly, eBay hate dropshipping.

If you really want to do this you have to start with a little bit of money. First pay for a Austialian VPN from 24vc.com to get an Australian IP. Then get an get a VCC by getting a card from Entropay. Then, figure out how to get an australian bank in your country. Find a new house for sale in Australia, get a Australian phone number (there are various ways to do that) and new email.

So turn on your newly bought VPN, sign up on eBay.au with the new house you chose from Australia, use the new phone number you got (must be Australian). Then start a PayPal and load up the Entropay card and Australian bank you got as well as the Australian house and address.

And your set! When you create your Entropay card, load it with a bit of money so you can buy a thing or too from eBay.au before you sell. That way it makes you seem more real and valid. So, buy one or two cheap items, then try selling and hope for the best. Also, allow the account to age a little bit, because you can't do that all in one day and think it will work.

I also want to say I'm not responsible if any damage/mistakes are made, this works from my experience but may be different for you. It seems like a solid plan. Make sure to ask the AU sellers here for any suggestions before you get started, because the sites vary.

Welcome to the forums - you need to be clear about where items are being shipped from to avoid issues with buyers.

Have the account set up in Australia using Australian IP - you should get your vps Australia IP as well to avoid trip-flags based on the IP

Hello, Thanks to all for your reply. if like that then maybe better to open an account directly on ebay.com. if I wont be able to use it from Mauritius! the idea was as I have families there, they would have open it for me with there credentials and I would have use it for business from here, but if using from another country may get me banned or whatever then better to go stealth at the beginning. thanks again everyone.

Thanks for the tips Pikachu10, but that's for Ebay, but will Paypal accept a VCC? as I mentioned my main issue is that I will not be able to accept payment through paypal as with Mauritian CC is only for payment not receiving payment.
