Default Cheapest Shipping w/in the States?

Is the $1.69 for first class (<= 3oz) the cheapest rate for shipping?

As I was planning on buying a lot of cords for $0.10 each but the problem is that many other sellers off new ones for $0.99 and free shipping.

Obviously this would be just to build up feedback but I do not feel like loosing $1 per item..

If that works as a great feedback builder then go ahead and do it and loose a little money along the way, because nothing is more important, and getting plenty of it makes your accounts strong and stable and you cannot buy the value that will give to your account!

Oh trust me, it is tempting. But loosing money for a $0.99 fb may not be that great of feedback. And then most people never leave FB for these cheap of items. So I may loose $5-10 for one $0.99 feedback rating.

These buyers are often the worst and leave poor feedback.

I'm tellin ya.. Collectable/playing cards are the way to go. Most of my buyers are resellers or collectors or players. I'd say 75%+ leave feedback.

I, myself, do not leave feedback for the buyers until I think they have received the item. Kinda like a indirect reminder to leave me some!

Some of my best stealth accounts have less than 20 feedback.

For me it is all about sales and profit, not feedback. No feedback is the best feedback IMO.

For my non EIN accounts, I sell very quickly until I approach the PayPal tax request and move onto another account. Feedback is not important to me at all. Sales are.

Theres no way you can sell high volume and NO one leave feedback. And most of the time accounts under 20 feedback would have low limits...?

How many accounts do you have?

No way?

So a 100-5000 limit account running 100 auctions starting at .99 can easily sell 3-4x the $$ limit in a week IF you have the items to sell and they are higher dollar and in demand.

I have a lot of accounts with a handful of bigger accounts with EINs as well.

The issue for most people is not having inventory or the ability to handle it. That is something altogether different.

Nivo,
I know that when i purchase iPhone cords, I never buy just one. I get like 5 or so because I expect them to not work very long. It is still better than paying $30 for one from apple. So I think they expect most buyers to buy multiples. In the end you probably turn a small profit (hopefully)

Sporting goods is very low risk to ebay. Business and industrial as well.

My situation is unlike most on this forum where I have a lot of resources for inventory and have a handle on the pricing from the backside.

Bundle them up to get the margin higher along with to turn more volume.

Sell 5-10 in a lot or whatever a buyer will pay for and perceive a value.

I'd rather have a new account with 1 positive and no neg or neutrals, than an aged account with 1000 positives and 4 negatives

The way eBay has been working they are favoring new accounts with no feedback more than aged accounts

Don't even focus on feedback , let it come naturally and it will, Id rather have a buyer leave no feedback than leave a feedback and have the possibility of a low DSR or something

I just leave the buyer feedback right after I print the postage, I have one account with 60 positives out of 110 sales and this is typical with all my accounts

I can't believe how this thread exploded. And trust me, from experience I know that my accounts with less feedback, with less in sales, and less volume is usually the one that is rewarded quicker.

I know quality is a lot better then quantity in feedback, but under 100 stars, people still think twice about buying from a seller. At least I do, and I am sure a lot of others do too. And yes I know to get to 100 it may take 500-1000 sales.

A lot of my listings I will ask users for feedback. I know it is against the rules, but I will write some kind of message politely remind them. And I do my listings with the 1 day processing / Free shipping / tracking etc loaded same day so my shipping and communication is an auto 5 star.

Like I mentioned with the 100 feedback, many tend to glance over your feedback. I like to build up accounts with a bunch of little "filler" feedback and then start listing the $100-$1k items, slowly.

Everyone else always bundles items. I know you could do say 10 for $3 but that is not even worth the hassle for me -> I would rather get the quality feedback from regular sales then waste extra time with a bunch of cables. Baseball cards may not be a bad idea but I have done some in the past and everyone asks too many questions never to end up buying them.

Must economic shipping is $1.93.
When I calculate fees and shipping I just type $1.95

I agree with Fox. Inlay no mind too feedback unless its negative. You'd be surprised how many buyers leave the wrong feedback accidentally and think its ok.

Yea it is a $1.93, my mistake. When I figure shipping I usually also account in $0.10 for the label and $0.10 for the bubble mailer. So technically loss would be >$1.

And yea, I have had people in the past that "mistake" leaving bad feedback.. the best part is when you call them and they setup a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ number on the account.

I always lose profit in the beginning to build the account. I soon make up for it around the 3/4 week mark with an item worth a couple hundred. I like to keep a few cheap items listed to boost DSRs, still taking a loss. Different strokes for different folks. Would you rather buy a $1000 item from someone with 1 or 2 feedback or someone with 30, 40, 50+? I know who i would buy from.
