I use it because it clearly offers me a platform for selling to millions of users, with minimum fees.
I guess if you have used ebay for years then it might be annoying to see the fees rise all the time, but I started selling on eBay 2 years ago, so for me that's the only eBay I know.
It is annoying. But like I stated before it is way cheaper than Amazon. Unless you have some hand made items here in the states and can get on ETSY. Outside of building your own website you and hoping for the best. You are boxed in. Those are the sites that get traffic and generate sales. As annoying as eBay can be and I have not dealt as much with Amazon yet except for their strict metrics. For me selling online = freedom. I would rather not do a 9 to 5. Even if I make less on a given year I have some say over my future. Don't want to be employee #xxx punching a time card. For some people that is easier.

I know this site is often about complaining. Trust me I come here to vent. But when things are going good and customers are happy leaving great feedback and everything is like it should be. Then life is golden and I am stoked and love eBay. I do have those days where one buyer ruins your day by complaining or leaving bad feedback etc. That is part of what we do.

I am going on year 10. The sooner you learn to let it go add them to your block list and eat it unfortunately. You end up living to fight another day. As much as it is painful many years ago PayPal use to be common for chargebacks. Relatively rare now. I use to get f'd over from that a few times a month. So just giving into a few returns from pissed customers as much as it sucks. My advice would be live to fight another day. Block that buyer than PM me to let me know I need to block them too! LOL
