There really is no reason for it. This thread is approaching the 4 year mark. I use paypal to pay fees with no issues.

When setting up new eb accounts now in the UK, you ONLY have 1 option and thats to pay fees via pp

If you click the credit card option - you still get forwarded to pp to pay them.

The only way around this for me is paying via paypal

Saying that I have never had problems *TOUCHING A BIG PLANK OF WOOD* with pp charging my bank for fees, even though the reason I owed the fees in the first place was ebay telling my customers not to proceed with the transaction and making claims for items they have received

Agreed.

Never drain the account. At the same time never leave a ton in it.

I always know what my fees are and leave enough in it to cover them.

Does eBay bill all accounts at the same time each month or is it based on something else?

No as far as I know they run two billing cycles, one on the last day of the month and one on the 15th.

Of course only one of these applies to any given account, not both.

I pay fees 20 times a month after I was told by ebay they "like it" and its good business model. Also, when reading agreement when signing up to pay fees if it has not changed, it states something in the range of when fee payments are over $25 they reserve right to collect payment. This makes me think that accounts where fees exceed $25 increases risk. So I keep mine under $25 all the time. Hence at least 20 payments a month.

Ohh.... maybe this is a good idea.
Sure, I would be happy too if someone paid me 20 times a month lol!

I didn't know that you could pay fees anytime.
I thought you had to wait for the monthly billing invoice.
Also, I was afraid they would get messed up, like glitches in the system where you paid but they count it again.

Well, if you've been doing it with no problems, I guess we could try.

damn.... what happened to the option to pay via postal order? Are you sure this is for all new accounts and you weren't just unlucky/raised a red flag somehow when regstering? And any idea when this change came in?

Once you get the notification from EB regarding your fees, yes you can make a one time payment, I do that all the time using entropay without any problems.

I just like to get the fees out of the way, don't need to wait for EB to take it from PP.

What if you had a few customer complaints and then followed by holds on your funds around the same time when EB was to take their fees..............You know what would happen next.....................
