So, I just bought (3) $100 prepaid Amex Cards to try this and it was declined......let me guess Amex doesn't work for this?

Also, I see that they have Visa Gift Cards that you can load $25 to $500 on....wouldn't it just be better to get 1 card with the amount you need.....or do you have to call to register these....got to get these fees paid by Monday.....and my Walgreens does not have the Gift2go.....

Anyone know any other cards I can use that can be registered online?

In this case will the multiple PP/Ebay accounts get linked to each other, because the "real" financial information on each PP is the same name/person? Or will PP/Ebay not link all of the accounts together?

... and so my question is; if you're already doing automatic payments with paypal, it it too late to switch payment methods?

my fees are 900 a month, can you load, a card of 900 dollars, or do i need to buy 9 cards, where does the money go, after you get paid, if you dont use paypal

Maybe I'm just blind and I missed it, or it wasn't written... Here is my situation.

Paypal account is limited, eBay account was still perfect (would be still perfect, but I didn't pay the fees)
eBay tried to take the fees out of Paypal because it is my automatic payment method, but since Paypal is limited they couldn't.

Now I want to know if somehow Paypal or eBay will take money out of the bank account that is attached to my Paypal account? What if I close that bank account?

It's been about 2 months since the limitation on the Paypal account and so far eBay just sent threatening emails lol. The amounts we are dealing with are $5 - $50 (I have the same situation on a few accounts)

I just want to know if eBay can somehow do something bad to me whether it be pull out the funds from my bank or somehow mess with my credit, etc. The accounts are stealth and should be unlinked to each other.

I have all my stealth ebay accounts linked to paypal accounts and pay my fees with paypal. Never had any trouble. Been doing it for years. =}

How much is the card fee per account you use over this year?

I always link whatever ebay account to the paypal account im using and pay my fees with paypal and never had a problem. This process seems like it takes too much time and effort. Just verify your Paypal with a VBA so if it goes down with your ebay it wont effect you. Been doing it for years without a problem. =}

Was your PayPal/eBay details different from one and other?

I have tested many ways and have had not one single issue with paying my fees auto through paypal.

If I remember I did have an issue with a card of some sort but cannot remember which one.

Knock on wood I have never had any issues with them taking it out. In fact I think it has helped because they know they are going to get their money.

I always make sure to check the account fees and never go below what I owe in the pp account.

I'm new but after reading this entire thread it seems to me that there is a simple solution for both:

1) Those that do use Paypal to pay eBay fees
2) And of course those that choose not too.

Wouldn't the simple solution be to pay whatever fees you have incurred NIGHTLY ?

This is the method I used before I was NARU'd for VERO violations and not only did eBay wind up refunding MY fees that they owed prior to the ban, but I never EVER was late since I always paid as I incurred the fee that night.

The bottom line is if you're using a VCC, PrePaid, or Paypal, as long as their greedy palms are greased, while you're busy making money you can also rest peacefully at night knowing you dont owe them SHEEET.

Perhaps I'm wrong but it just seems the smartest thing to do.

But in any event I'm open to suggestion

This is a very good thread, just finish reading the whole posts! I have two eBay accounts with of course two PayPal accounts for two years now. One account I am paying directly with eBay designated bank account. The other one is link to my PayPal, credit card and up to my bank accounts.

This account was suspended for 30 days and I only pay my account after 2 months. I have outstanding balance that eBay tried to email me every 3 days to pay my account and I just delete it and sell to my other account. The good thing is why they don't deduct my balance to my bank account? Right now I already used this account and of course paid my balance through the same bank account.
So I don't think they will automatically deduct it without your permission. My account was suspended for 2 months and nothing happens they just sending emails. One more thing I use one time payment method via credit card/bank account.

I think someone else had asked my question. But I did not see the answer yet.
How to pay a big balance of ebay fee, like $1000. Should I buy 10x prepaid $100 card? or there is other simple way to do it. of course it is a stealth account.

That is the safest way to do it.

OK. here is an update.
after paid three $100 gift cards, ebay says 'additional payment is not allowed this time, please try it again later"
I tried it again today and the same result.

You have to wait 24 hours between multiple payments.

So which is better in this situation a VCC or a pre-paid card at walgreens? VCC is easier for me to get. Here we go again, please advise.

Update of my account! Last four days my Pay PayPal account was limited because I remove and put it back my credit card in my ebay info, so im very disappointed at that time because I have many items supposed to be ship on that day and I can't withdraw my money.

Now in just 2 days time from April 25 to April 27 my account back again in full access. PayPal didn't ask me anything they say they're are just reviewing my account. Remember I did not use stealth account but I read about it before but I think for me its not the time to use it. I will be considering using stealth when the problem arises.

They say when my account is resolve they send notification but I did not receive any. I just know it because I always check my account from time to time. I mail them to give thanks that my account was resolved in a very short time and this is their reply.

I don't understand why you can't just close your account at the bank. How will paypal/ebay get money from you then?

You can purchase $500 gift cards. Don't use gift2go though. They'll just keep your money.

You should NOT pay your eBay fees via Paypal.... EVER.

Hook it up to paypal, if you get suspended change paypal email on ebay immediatly, and they cant get ya. I have done this many times, no issues

1 - That is no where near the reason to NOT pay them via Paypal.
2 - That is about the funniest thing I have heard in a long time.

if you change the email address on your ebay account that is hooked up to your paypal account there is no why they can get you. i have done this multiple times with no issues.

As I said already that has NOTHING to do with the reason you should AVOID paying your eBay fees by using your Paypal.

They do.

Horribly wrong. eBay-Paypal cross linking is done internally and recorded in their databases, not just by the visible and/or user editable information.

You might have just gotten lucky, but not for long. I have been cross linked before for doing this, and don't you dare telling me that I was doing it wrong.

The original purpose was to encourage newbies to have that extra layer of protection to keeping accounts stealth.

Sound suggestions were made to use methods other than paypal as the means.

Whilst what you suggested might work for you, you should be less forthright in trying to get the method across.

It is not anecdotal evidence but proof from users here that using paypal for fees is not a wise idea.

It is known that records of changed email addresses are retained by paypal/ebay. That flows onto exposing a stealth account to scrutiny by virtue of attachment to paypal. (Double-whammy).
But the method of using a card gives a user a sweet extra bit of protection.

No way do paypal touch my accounts for ebay fees.:juggle:

what I do every month is pay with my walmart greendot card. They send me the email saying that it will come out around the 8th to the 11th and I usually just let pull with no funds in it the 1st time. I get an email saying funds were not available and that they will try again in 3-7 days. Then I load it up with what I need to cover it and I am good to go. I have done this EVERY month for a full year now with no problems.

I let it go to the 2nd try every time just to get a few more days. Mainly due to me being too lazy to get it loaded earlier. But who cares if it works.

1. This will NOT link the old and new accounts UNLESS you put in your real info (if you understand stealth well then you will see that you do not have to =)....

This could have been written by me - I agree 100% - it may be bad stealth tactics but I get the money in, pay the postage through Paypal, pay my Ebay fees and what's left I use to buy my stock and then the balance is mine and gets transferred to my vodka account

A couple of quick questions though: Is there a way to find out the exact date that eBay will attempt to collect your seller fees so that you are able to pay PRIOR to them attempting to collect?

Also, how soon ahead of time do you pay your fees? A day early? A week early?

I tried to list my first item on one of my new stelts and i got hit with the required automatic payment option.

So i can just use a vcc or gift card to do this? Seems to be true.

Also, rsot... does using a gift card as a bank account for withdrawing actually work. I was told that only a real bank acount can be used.

I pay my eBay fees about every week if not sooner.
You should be receiving a email from eBay stating that you have fees due.
Then in about a week or 2 eBay will attempt to charge the card you have on file with them, that is if you have a balance.

By the way.....
You can only make 1-2 payments a day before eBay will not let you pay them any more until the next day.

I used to pay them $5 about 15-20 times a day so they would have to pay the credit card company charge on the transaction.
But then a few years ago they put a limit on the number of payments you could send a day...
O-well - It was fun while it lasted.... LOL
