Heres what happened. i bought a pre owned michael kors to my friend for $70 and i sell to my ebay $120 free shipping within US. thats what we do buy & sell. so this lady from Australia is wanting sp bad the bag so i sold it to her & because i have never experience any problems in my ebay selling & shipping so i did.she paid the shipping through GSP which she told me she got a different item etc. we talk emails sending pictures & she kept saying a konda crafts is what she got worth $16. i called GSP for my issue "maybe" they messed up my shipping? but it is correct item that they gave it to her to the australian lady. and i called ebay and they said it shipped to her blah blah blah! then my buyer suddenly open a dispute through paypal for refund. i sent all my tracking #,pictures code but guess what after almost 2 months waiting. i got email saying that they favor the buyer because she stated that she received a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ bag which at the beginning she fool me that she never get the bag, what she received is scarf beads? she played innocent to me like a little child looking for a lost dolls & here i am all my efforts calling,explaning to all of people in the system she suddenly saying "⊗⊗⊗⊗" without knowing me? i am not really happy but i get over it. i know Karma is a Bitch.

It is a good practice to make HQ photos of expensive items you sell before sending, and require the same photos to be sent to you in case if a buyer wants a feedback, to make it really hard for them to cheat. All tags, holograms, serial numbers must be present and clearly seen. Always use tracked door-to-door courier services like Fedex or DHL fro expensive items, so a proof of delivery with a signature will present, and user will not be able to claim he didn't receive the item.

Happened to me a few times.

Ebay basically sends an email that says-we see package was delivered but buyer says they didn't get it, so as a courtesy we are refunding the buyer. It sucks. I've also won cases on same accounts for same circumstance(delivered but buyer doesn't have)

Too hard that it is a distant issue. If happened in the same country, you can fill in a claim to a local police, and scammer will get a real fine or even a trial, depending on a sum of money stolen.

Now that is funny if they arrested every scammer that bought from me every jail in the world would be full twice over! Oh wait i think the jails are that full

If someone had stolen a 1000$ worth item from you, I guess you would not just let it go. But speaking about 5$ worth items - not worth of even thinking, just refund and forget.

Get a copy of the signature, showing address, date, time, who signed. Send to ebay. Many times online tracking doesn't show address delivered only to city then they just side with buyer. If you have the proof of delivery copy they can't really deny that. I've had some buyer pull that stunt before.

In my country they do not do anything I can even tell you how many big dollar items i have been scammed on over the years i have been online until I built my site which eliminates 99 percent of the scammers
