Default eBay getting more lenient?

I have dealt with eBay since the 90s when they were starting. Can't even count how many accounts I've had. Some performance related when I had cancer, some due to restricted items, ect.

Now I have a new stealth account. Less than a week old. Selling limits 5/500. I call up, stumble on my info as I was being a rookie and didn't have a sheet in front of me. Suddenly get bumped to 500/15,000.

Is eBay desperate for business or what? My feedback is good so I guess that helps and my items always arrive before the EDD as I always upgrade shipping as a courtesy. I guess it depends on the operator you get as well?

Nice - yes it depends a lot on the agent you get....if you get a bad one, you retry.

That being said....not recommended to call in to raise the limits - you got lucky

Thats very rare to happen.

Its most likely someone fed up with ebay themselves that works there or they don't know what they're doing...

Goodluck op and congrats on the limit increase!

Have you watched the stock of EBAY. Dropped like a stone in the last 3-4 years. Amazon is crushing them. I am reading The Everything Store about Jeff Bezos and EBAY almost crushed him and now he is getting his revenge. Too bad Amazon Auctions went under.

I wouldn't read anything into your limit increase. Just take is as good luck.

This HAS happened to me (at least similarly) on a couple of accounts. If you are not selling anything high-risk and you are getting positive feedbacks and no complaints, the limit increases come easier.

Stocks prices doesnt say anything about a company, and rsot please dont say anything on shorting stocks if people dont any have experience in that.

Shorting stocks takes much more experience and patience than just owning or buying stocks. Most people I know who lost money on Wall Street involved shorting stocks.
