I sold an item back in september last year. The buyer didn't leave me positive feedback. I'm not sure if it was through ebay or private PP invoice, but he has left me a message this morning asking to return the item after 5 months of usage. I believe the 180 return policy didn't apply until NOVEMBER so will this also apply to my case?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
This is a hit-and-miss issue - if buyer contacts eb or PP directly...an agent MAY help him there. You might have to fight this off though....5 months, gimme a break - loser buyer
If you sold a legal item and did not misrepresent it in any way, you may be able to win the case. If your item is illegal in any way, or you misrepresented it, then the buyer will almost certainly win. If the latter is the case, you could also lose your accounts.
The guy I obviously a loser scammer or a buyer who thinks hes entitled to anything and everything. A bunch of BS of course.
He bought the item in September. It is now March. This means within 2 weeks or so he wont be able to utilize this new paypal policy even if he wanted to.
I would try to waste time until those 180 days are up. Calculate exactly how many days you have to do this for and then go back and forth with emails to him - respond to his email every other day so he sees youre still responding. Be polite and do all you can to make sure he doesnt catch on.
Then when the 180 days are up tell him to suck it.

Also, the guy cannot open a dispute through Ebay at this point and he cannot leave feedback. The auction description is not even on ebay anymore so no need to worry about that either.
IF he can do anything it is through paypal. And since that 180 day dispute policy came into effect in November I don't even think he can use that. But just to be on the safe side id do what I mentioned above.
But that's just me - I cant tolerate lowlifes like that...
