Re: Selling 250+ Monthly W/ Perfect Feedback
Last year I sold 200-300 items every month with 100% track record. It lasted about 5-7 months and then as I started rushing with descriptions it dropped a bit. Just got too hooked on making money and my service suffered.
In my category, I don't think it's THAT difficult to get 100% track record with 200-500 sales each month. The items I sold were different prices as well, some were £5 items but mostly they ranged somewhere between £50 to about £120.
Every single item that I sell is different and I hardly ever sell similar item twice a month- Maybe every other month something comes up again, but even then it's rare.
It just takes time, patience and solid product that you can't really fault.
When it comes to selling numbers and customer happiness, then I think it's very much down to what product are you selling.
For example, if you decide to sell some random product, that's cheap and made of out plastic and just generally is tacky and feels cheap, then I can gurantee you that you will have certain % of customers who buy it and EXPECT something special but when it arrives they are disappointed and will most likely not rate you as highly as you'd like. It's down the peoples expectation, that's all.
The items that I sell are very simple in that sense- You can't really buy it with false expectations, u know.
It's almost like selling a light bulb- It's a light bulb, it does what it says on the tin. You can't go wrong with it and you can't have false expectations because it's a ****ing light bulb.
BUT
If you started selling something that has a bit more detail to it, then people will always expect rubber to feel more rubbery and that red colour more red... And ofcourse the dimensions to be EXACTLY the way they fantasized about it.
It's all about the product and some products are used by ignorante prople and you will NEVER get ALL of them to be 100% happy. That's the reality of certain categories.
