People only hate W8 if they hate change.

Windows 8.1 is pretty much Windows 7 via looks. But a lot of people do not realize that W8 has patched/fixed a LOT of security holes that arose from 7. The fact that users don't upgrade because they don't like the feel is funny :heh:

One thing I hate about Windows 8 is if my mouse skirts to the right, or left, can't remember, it takes me to that bl00dy main screen with the apps (which I don't use) and then I have to click top left to get back.

When it does that a few time when I'm in the middle of the design it's infuriating..

I do hate change though..!

Are you on a laptop? Like when you swipe to the side of the track pad? Or when you are on the desktop?

Laptop I know the swipe can be disabled.. I have done that myself on my smaller notebooks as it is annoying, I know what you mean.

I have it on one of my desktops and one laptop, and similar happens lol.

On the desktop it's usually when I am typing something, then I knock the mouse with my had and if it's near the edges of the screen it just goes back to that main page. Just me being clumsy I guess, but I'd rather have Windows 7 any day.

On the laptop I have a wireless mouse, so I think it's the same thing happening.

Maybe I need to control my arm movements better? lol.

I like Windows 8.1 Pro with startisback addon to make the old start menu come back to life. My machine is running smoothly, faster and more responsive with Windows 8.1 Pro.
