Temporary Block Site Activity Message

I was recently doing some bidding/searching/asking questions on one of my accounts that I am trying to prep to become a stealth and I got this message after trying to place a bid:

To help protect your account, eBay has put a temporary block on your site activity at this time. In order to maintain a safe trading environment, limits are occasionally placed on accounts until we obtain additional verification from a member. These limits in no way are meant to question your record with eBay or standing within the eBay community. At this time, we ask that you complete the verification process. Click here

We sincerely value you as a member of our trading community and look forward to a continued successful relationship. We appreciate your cooperation in verifying your account as quickly as possible.

If you cannot complete the verification process through the link provided above please use the following link to speak with our Account Security team. Click here"

Now please note that I have only bidded on maybe a total of 8 items in a 2 week period and hadn't hit a temporary buying hold (which I have gotten numberous times before.) So my question is, has anyone else ran into this message before? Does it have any affect on your account after the hold is removed and is there anyway to avoid getting this?

Click the link, verify your account. Usually it's done by getting an automated phone call, then entering the PIN code you've heard.

Did you have to go through regular verification or the Strong ID Verification process?
