Search Rankings

Okay I needed to make a thread about this because I need to figure how this is happening...

I have this particular account, its search rankings is INCREDIBLE!

For instance I have a listing that is on the first page out of 250,000 items! Its a TRS account with 0 defects alot of feedback coming in, and alot of sales. Is this why or is the account just one of those crazy lucky accounts that is favored by eBay? I see plenty TRS sellers with very poor search rankings.

I mean .... I'm shocked its the first page number 4 out of that many listings.. The hits its getting is ridiculous. Its priced high too, which is most likely why it hasn't sold, but its not priced super low nor am I offering free shipping. This is the same for all my other listings too.

Its been like this for the past month with every listing I add to the account.

Decent feedback, 0 defects, high sales volume and being TRS will all undoubtably help you in the rankings.

Rankings are always a bit of a guess work, and can change day to day so make the most of it while you can

Trust me I've been milking this as much as I can. I'm probably going to get the IRS 200/20,000 paypal email soon because of it.

Its also now at 650/20,000 limit! My strongest account so far. Thanks to all you guys for the support and advice along the way...

it's a bit of everything: luck, knowledge about rankings, keywords, and defects, having TRS helps but it's not a necessity. I kick out top sellers in their niches all day but it takes some time.

P.S. Also if you are seeing yourself in top ranks from the same browser as you posted/viewed the item few times, it might be a bit misleading because it will show you that item higher than the others but if you switch to a fresh user, browser and IP for example it might be give you a different outcome, so try that and see if you are still there.
