I understand that a buyer can purchase multiple listings and their feedback will only be counted as one. However for defect rate calculation purposes is that the same or would it count as multiple transactions?
I read on eBays seller performance page and it seems like it would be counted as multiple transaction as long as the purchase of multiple items are different listings and not just more of the same item.
I ask this because I have one buyer that bought 20 items from me and it basically will likely determine whether or not I am over the 5 perfect defect rate in next evaluation period.

Actually, it may be a competitor. He can buy 20 items, and open 20 cases like "phake", "not as described", "DNR" and so on, literally destroying your account. Never sell anything to anyone before getting a feedback from previous transaction.
Any feedback left by an eBay user for another eBay member in the SAME week counts as one e.g. if i bought 20 items from you this week and left positive feedback all on same day - your feedback is +1. If I left 1 feedback per week for each item...then your feedback would go up to +20 at the end of the 20 weeks.
I am not referring to feedback count guys. I am referring specifically to what counts as a transaction that goes into the calculation of the defect rate.
