| | | YEbayY | 04-26-2015 06:25 AM | Is this account lost? Buyer opened a return request via ebay today she said the item i was selling was ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and illegal merchandise and threatened to contact ebay.
I said id happily accept return and give refund.
However, return request being opened does this mean the account is flagged up by ebay? |
Re: Is this account lost? Technically, yes - because it can be considered a 'case' if you don't resolve it...it's open right now... |

What's the value of the item?
Consider a straight out refund and let the buyer keep the item....
Go into damage control now. |
| sln531 | 04-26-2015 07:47 AM | Re: Is this account lost? It's going to be a toss up anyway, but just like GB said I would refund the money to the buyer and hope and pray he does not cause you problems!
But sometimes when you piss people off and get a bad taste in their mouth regardless if you refund his money back or not he still might so cause you problems just on the principal! |
| dallis | 04-26-2015 04:49 PM | Re: Is this account lost? I'm thinking in the case of a claim of a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ product the buyer is supposed to destroy it not return it, or am I completely confused? |

The person is supposed to return the product to the seller, regardless if it's Vero or not! That is required for a refund if they have come to that decision or ebay does. |
| Bunneh | 04-26-2015 05:31 PM | Re: Is this account lost? yep i would refund BEFORE they try open a case. Depending on what the item is and price it is, the buyer could just be trying to scare you into getting a refund.
Are your items phakes? |

Re: Is this account lost? For the future, think of a way of giving the buyer a way of being in contact with you outside of eBay if they have any questions or issues. A seperate google voice, they can text any time of the day may work.
Think of including a thank you card, with a unique email address or phone # in the package that they can contact if they have any issues or questions. Guarantee a response within 24 hours. That way if they have issues, you have 1 email controlling all inquiries not linked to any eBay account.
You'll be able to resolve all issues before it reaches eBay, limiting the chances of them opening disputes/ open returns |
| dallis | 04-26-2015 08:16 PM | Re: Is this account lost? Thanks, James, I looked it up and this is what it says, I understand they may no longer enforce it:
From the Ebay policy guide on counterfeit items, copied verbatim below:
Counterfeit items
If a buyer suspects that an item is counterfeit and there are strong indicators that the item is counterfeit, the buyer isn't required to return the item to the seller. The buyer agrees to cooperate with us to ensure the proper disposal of the item. In such cases, we refund the buyer for the full cost of the item and original shipping, and the seller reimburses us for the refund. The buyer may not sell such item on eBay or elsewhere. |

| bjammin | 04-27-2015 01:20 AM | Re: Is this account lost? I think you are fine. I have had ppl tell me the same thing. Refund them, play dumb, and don't worry. If it is cheap enough, just let them have it. I hate messages like this because this is a tactic a professional buyer uses to try to scare you out of your merchandise. |
| bjammin | 04-27-2015 01:21 AM | Re: Is this account lost? And if you are selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗, stop selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗! Then you wont have anything to worry about. |

If you can take the loss, just refund the buyer a.s.a.p. and really play dumb.
It's ironic how many sellers get away with selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ in large quantity and others have EB pull their listings brutally. :faint:
EB, the king of Randomness! :mod: |

| YEbayY | 04-27-2015 12:54 PM | Re: Is this account lost? She opened a return case via ebay even though i said prior to that dont do that i'll refund you now
She opened the case and i immediately refunded her
still consider the account lost?
Kind of pi***ed off because the account was just getting good
no 21 day hold
withdrawals taking just 2 hours
limits soon to be raised |

EB, the king of Randomness! :mod: | I know, a seller who has a big bussissness account selling EXACT same product as me gets very little complaints or issues because his account looks more proffesional |

thanks for reminding me |
