I'm not saying thats alot but just like when you receive I believe its 3K banks have to file some report about it, I gotta imagine its something similar with eBay. In other words when you cross some threshold a bot runs a scan on the account.
I don't have any accounts surpassing even 3K. I have one doing 2K but thats the highest for one single account. All speculation on my end.. |
| yankee | 07-30-2015 10:11 PM | Re: Limits increase schedule? Most of the accounts I burn through sell $20-50 items. Sell 50-100 of them and have an issue.
The accounts I NEVER have an issue with sell $350-1000 items and lots and lots of them.
Virtually all my accounts have 100% feedback, so I really don't see it being a dollar amount.
Now on paypal, yea, of course, they have a series of things they look for and one is a threshhold.
I had to call into Paypal a couple weeks for a limitation that asked for everything possible, After a 2 minute conversation I learned that a Banner(poster) I sold of a Trek Mountain bike caused the issue. It looked to Paypal that I sold a bike that should have been more than a thousand dollars for $20.00 with free shipping.
All I ended up having to do was upload a Photo Id. No big deal at all. |

Increased again, did hit the old limit 24 hours ago, and now they give me 40 /4000 :)
Had a return request in between and got one or two positive reviews. | At 120 /12,000 now after 2 weeks. This list to maximum, but only sold for items for $2000. |

| Haidukken | 08-28-2015 12:46 PM | Re: Limits increase schedule? Ermm.... Not sure about why even BOTHER thinking about "how" they do the limit increases, as it seems pretty easy to get one. Its not like you need to trick the system somehow or check off certain things from an imaginary list...
It's pretty much rinse and repeat: List couple of items, take it slow for couple of weeks, hit the limit and wait for an increase, hit the new limits, wait for another increase.
Two types of rises I usually get:
10->20->60->180
and
10->30->90->270
I usually stop at 180 and 270 because I just simply don't need more on one account- If I was selling phone cases or some other bull**** plastic stuff, then it would be even easier to get limits bumped I'd imagine- Just take the qty up to the selling limits and wait for new limits.
The items I sell are all individual so I can't rally play around with qty too much.
Sometimes I experience a slightly longer for the first increase, but after that it seems pretty standard to get one couple of hours after I've maxed the limits. When it's a new account, I usually have to wait 1 or 2 days, then they'll bump the limits. |
| yankee | 08-28-2015 01:09 PM | Re: Limits increase schedule? I opened a handfull of accounts on July 30th. All had 50-$3000 when opened. All have sold to the limits on both quanity and $$$ or with $100-200 and have not had an increase.
This is new to me. We will see what happens at the 30 day mark |

You know, everyone keeps talking about limits raising automatically. My main account, didn't move anywhere until I called in. My second account ( stealth), hasn't moved anywhere in 2 years. 2 YEARS! Bought it from a member here at $5000 limit. I've ended some months listing $4995. Ended some months with $2500 in sales out of the $5000 limit. Not a budge. I'm sick of hearing about these automatic limits. I could have called in over a year ago, and never have, because I was always worried about the boogeyman this forum keeps screaming about. So yeah, I'm glad someone has the balls to go against the system | I feel the same way BUT new accounts are getting raises like crazy now for some reason. Start a new stealth, if you havent already and it will rocket up in just a few months. WITHOUT calling in! |

| james13v | 08-29-2015 07:09 PM | Re: Limits increase schedule? I called in twice in the past 2 months, after the evaluations. Went from $5000, to $8500 to $17,000. Within two months. By calling. Easy peazy. |

The information is available, it's up to the individual to decide what works best for them. |
