Techincally Play is right

Increase do eventually come. 90% of the time increase are pretty rapid, but sometimes an account can be stuck at the same limits for months, even years. That does not mean that an increase will not eventually come though. As mentioned elsewhere in these cases its a case of risk v reward when ringing eBay on that sort of account

Not unless the UK has a different definition for the word "consistently".

Consistently | Define Consistently at Dictionary.com

Accounts will consistently get increase. This does not mean absolutly always within a set time frame. Simply that accounts will always get increases eventually (90% of the time pretty often)

There may well be a gap between the increases sometimes which is when the risk v reward of ringing eBay aspect comes in it

The accounts that sell to limits that don't get increases are the EXCEPTION. Must be hundreds of threads about rapid increases selling/listing to the limits and offering instant shipping with tracking.

Only a handful of people saying they are not getting increases.

Yes, that is EXACTLY what consistently means!

What he said simply IS NOT true! If he used another word, it might be. But "consistently" and "randomly" are opposites.

Perhaps accounts "often" get increases automatically. But they do NOT "consistently" do so.

Anyways....I'm done arguing the point. What Play originally said is false, whether it be semantics or not. I'm not arguing to call eBay, I'm just pointing out that the post was not accurate.

Carry on.

There are plenty of threads actually providing step by step on how to get fast increases naturally.

If you follow the correct procedure, its true you will almost always get an increase within the first 90 days. And like I said before once you call in and start having them manually do it, for me at least the natural increase is tougher to get.

But the thing is.....

Natural increases have no limit. You can get triple or even 5x your current limits if your lucky but with calling in its ALWAYS double. Never had a aged account get higher than a double limit increase when calling in.

I can consistently get an increase within seven days and another on the 30th just by listing rapidly to the point I have to edit listing quantity or end items to list more. Those initial raises are not best because it usually raises a 100 piece account 40 or 60 and minimal dollar amounts. The next raise 30ish days later is significantly more.

Yep.

I've found when say your limits are 100/5000, and you currently only have listed 60/3000 ...and you list up to max within the first 5 days of the new calendar month chances are you'll get an increase.

The bot that does the weekly review IF it catches your hitting your limits should give you a increase.

I started using your and Mr. Sharks techniques as well of just listing a big quantity at an exorbitant price(to deter sales) and then edit it down as you need room. Got some good increases this month on accounts I am just resting until the 90 day mark while growing more accounts getting ready for the busy and holiday season.

Thanks for that tip!

I Just want to add

- I consistently get increases, in other words, ALWAYS. Never have I ever not gotten an increase on an account naturally.
- Furthermore, I dont sell to limits, maybe hit around 50% mark.
- Furthermore, I dont upload tracking information.
- Finally, im in the UK, so that point alone could defeat all your statements!

Im not here to persuade anyone of the right method of going about doing things. I am just sharing what works for me. Take it as you will.

Yeah I mean we all know paypal does sales projections when it comes to the irs tax request.

It makes perfect sense to me that if a bot sees you already hit your limit and its only the first week of the month, chances are it will undoubtedly give you a increase at some point in the month.

Thats what I usually do..

Take one item and increase its quantity and amount to make me hit the limits, then readjust it. Never had a issue come up.

But obviously if I did that with like a macbook my account would get flagged, just gotta be smart with it.

My first suspended account is like 7 yrs old. My limit is like 5000-10000. Though I never really sold much on it. Until the last 3 month of it's life.

My second suspended account is like only 3 months old. Have over 10 feedbacks and I have 250/25000 limit.

I would have to agree that if you sell consistently and provide great customer service. You will get a higher limit automatically. Just like a credit card, like someone said earlier.

I had an account I have not used THIS MONTH. It has 100-$5000 limits. I tried to list a single item with quantity of 100 at $75.00 each. of course it exceeded my limits and I had to edit it down. I then list it at 50 items and $3750.00 I then list 50 items at $25.00 and the remaining limit for the month is zero.

Sold nothing on this account last night seeing as the prices are 3-4x the value but limits have been raised to 220 and $8000.00

I would say this happens more than 50% of the time even on a brand new never used account.

I was listing items on one of my accounts and suddenly I got the notification "you have 40 items left to list this month" and I thought to myself " Why don't I just put the qty on some of the items, just to hit the limit"
Now I read what you've written and I think I might give it a go.

This system works great on all my accounts, I always get one and many times 2 raises in the same month 2 weeks apart. Accounts that are only 60"days old already have 600/18000 limits

The trick is to use all your limits, as soon as you get an increase than list again to your limits and just take away as u need to list

You do not need to sell to your limit you just need to list

I am adding a product to that same account now that I intend to sell and will list all 120 available quantity to it and see what happens and then edit it down 1 at a time as I run auctions.

I always leave no more than 15 items and $1500 available and every month I'll get usually 2 increases 2 weeks apart , just list low risk items , than by 90 days the account has nice limits for when the holds are lifted

another success last night. 100-$5000 now $150-$8000
I think I screwed up on this one. I did not list to the point I had to edit down a quantity. It seems that I get modest increases compared to double+ increases when listed to max and have to edit down to list more.
