Default Removed the International site visibility feature, and my international sales shot up

As the title states. My sales were kinda low and I relist all my items every 10 days, so I wanted to save a bit of money, as I was getting MAYBE one international sale a month.

So I removed the option from all my listings. Now, every other sale is an international sale.

That make sense to anyone else?

My main account, I've been using International site visibility forever, and get a good amount of international sales on here. Maybe I'd get even more....

That makes no sense. I think I even have to pay extra to be displayed on eB UK.

that's what "International site visibility" is. 50 cents per listing.

Seriously? No one? I feel like this is a very important topic. I've spent countless $100's paying for this stupid upgrade. I would like to know if it's been worth it. I always assumed it was, because I was getting plenty of international sales.

Less forum members active going into weekends james13v especially at this time of year, that is probably why less responses for you, also different timezones, etc.

what could have triggered more internation sales is the fact that you relisted your items and a few people from other countries bought from you and that increased your search visibility and international sales have taken off.

Almost all variables are the same, aside from international site visibility.

I've just experienced something similar, but with TRS status. I was doing well sales wise, the account is 2 years old, 100% everything with ZERO defects. Over 800 transactions.
Got TSR rating and for next 2 months the sales were nuked- I went from average of £1600-1800 a month to solid £254 and £410 for next two months.
Weird situation, to say the least.

International site visibility is WORTHLESS in all non English speaking countries. All it does is show your listing AT THE VERY BOTTOM of international ebay sites.

In all reality YOUR sales come from ebay.com not foreign ebay sites.

Now what DOES work is posting on those foreign sites but a pile of hurdles can occur with paypal collecting foreign currency and exchange rates etc... Also duplicate listing policies can be an issue if titles, prices, etc... are the same.

Better option is to open foreign ebay accounts or source your goods to foreign sellers.

So back to topic: International site visibility rarely translates into more sales on ebay.com

maybe if you take your item of ebay US and every other ebay site, your sales will sky rocket.

You removed international service and your sales increases?
Did you declare a delivery price for each country?maybe you're providing free or cheaper delivery.

No.
He removed international SITE visibility.

He still offered international shipping and sales. He just stopped paying to be on listed on .au and .ca etc...

If you removed the international site visibility, your international sales then could have only gone up from one other box which you may have ticked which is the

Global Shipping Programme which will show you on all international sites except for the ones you have put on your exclusion list (countries that you do not want to post to), it puts you on all sites such as Norway, Italy, France, Germany, us, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Argentina and all other countries you ship to

Where as international site visibility is on .com and one other site which isn't so great & you pay a fee

However I am still not too sure as to what caused this

Nope, no GSP for me. hate that program.

And international site visibility just puts you on the UK site. I do get a lot of sales from the UK.

I personally believe that ebay's new search system has been corrupted or they did it intentionally? (make no sense)...

I am having similar results.. Right now Int visibility, Bold feature and others does not make any difference. They are just waste of money. A sudden , unexpected action on an account makes the difference.... I tested, i confirmed.. Int visibility does not guarantee that you will have better visibility. I know it doesn't make sense but this is how it is right now..
