So ive now tried to list with product
variations on an account that has limits of 10/1000
and i got this before i can go on.
Attention Sellers:
Hi,
Identity verification is required for new sellers who use the listing with variations feature. Verifying your identity provides you with a higher selling limit. You can then use the additional available quantity towards your listing.
To begin verifying your identity, please click on the 'list your item' button at the bottom of this page.
----------------------------
im not gonna list until i can figure out what all they are gonna ask of me

Most likely public record questions.

It's usually 4 or 5 questions from public data bases

As everyone just said, Their going to want to run you through the Public Database(s) available to Ebay. Best option would be not to try and list in variations yet.

Yeah, they will try to pull you up in the database....but most reps aren't stickliers, especially if there's a reason you're not in the database...
Get creative. Think, what reasons might your name, address, birthday not show up in public records?
I can think of quite a few reasons.....

Call up and if they try to pull up database questions say you are a private investigator and your database records are not there because you paid for them to be pulled off due to your job telling you to do so for a case.

Well, gotta give him credit, MM78. I said "be creative" and he was creative!
That might be a little TOO creative though. You're heading in the right direction anyways!

This is NOT what you want to tell eBay.
There are reasons a person would not be in the public record databases. The biggest reason is they are young and have not applied for credit, business licenses, etc.
The number of people who are not in the databases because "you are a private investigator and your database records are not there because you paid for them to be pulled off due to your job telling you to do so for a case" is ZERO.
You generally cannot pull your records from public record databases. Public records are PUBLIC. There has to be a good reason for them to be pulled, and it usually (but not always) requires a court order to do so.
You want to keep this simple and blend in, not appear to be James Bond.

I don't understand why you guys are making fun of my post. The method I provided to lift the 0/0 does indeed work, as I used that same method to get from 0/0 to 10/1000 on a few of my stealths.

You DID come up with a creative reason that your information would not be in the public database.
The thing is, when it comes to stealth accounts, you want your accounts to seem as normal as possible to eBay - kinda like "nothing to see here, moving along" rather than "WHOA! WHO is this guy and what is he doing???"
What I recommend when calling in is this: call from the original number you used to make the account. You WANT that number to show up on their caller id. Next, pretend to be a normal user, who has NO CLUE as to why their limits are at 0/0. They will ask you some multiple choice questions. Always answer none of the above, or I have never lived at that address.
I like to make my users just over 18 years old, because many times they are NOT in the public databases yet, but are old enough to trade on eBay.
In other words, blending in is key. When I do this, 9 times out of ten I get any restrictions on the account lifted. Same thing with the "new" MC999.

But yes, this is EXACTLY the type of thinking you need when eBay asks you about your records.
Cue 100 "18 year olds" signing up for eBay tomorrow.
As Jeff alluded to, there ARE other ways your records wouldn't be in the database. However, the more "normal" you appear, the better.
Bottom line, If you have never:
Bought a car.
Got a loan.
Rented or purchased a house.
Applied for credit.
Been arrested.
Been to court.
You will NOT be in any public records. (Note that I may have missed a couple of things, but you get the GENERAL IDEA). As long as you've never done anything that requires ID and SS# (or your account person hasn't) than you will NOT be on public records.
