Default So I was gonna ditch my EB and PP Account but...

I have 3 stealth accounts and 1 real one. After the whole TIN thing went down I ditched the 3 stealth accounts and entered a TIN for my real account. I will just continue to to buisness through my real account... Now my problem is, I just received a 1099-k form in the mail made out to one of my stealth names. How do explain the name on the 1099-k to the IRS when I pay the taxes on it???

Also, the other 2 stealth accounts both made over 20k, but I wouldnt get the 1099-k form in the mail becuase the address' there listed under I can't retrieve the mail from.

Please help me. This is really stressing me out, and I've searched the forums. Thanks

Feel free to jump in anytime Kingray. I'm sure many of us are gonna need advise on this... I havent spoke to my accountant yet becuase I wanted some input from here first before I show it to him.

Go thro' his posts. Parts of your queries are answered.


This has bee happening since 2009, not yesterday not last week or last month. IRS requirements have been known for a heck of a long time. You are just a latecomer to the issue

I have been following the news for a while now about the IRS requirements, and I have done my research. I dont see this covered. I thought I coud just ignore it and abandon ship if I didnt provide them with a SSN or TIN. But apparently thats not the case

You dont need to get your 1099's in the mail. ALL Money Providers like paypal, etc have a screen for you to view it and print it out.

The ones without your real name? No problem. Name means nothing. The SSN its attached to is all that matters. People have aliases. All credit reports have a section for alias names. I have several on my credit report. Most are just rearranged names of my own though.

As long as that TIN, EIN, etc is associated with your REAL SSN then all is good.

When You file just put your real name on all of the documents and your REAL TIN, EIN, SSN that you have(Better match on all docs though)

As long as the numbers are correct and your SSN matches your TIN, EIN in "Their"(irs) system you are fine. You can have an EIN on one account and have a partnership with someone else and use your SSN on that one. As long as your SSN is the backing number on all of your TIN EIN's then you are fine.

Too many people have similar and exact same names to make the name any part of identifying you. You would be surprised at how many people in the world have the same exact first, middle and last name as yours. The number is the key thing

Hope I covered what you wanted.

Now, I am not legally a tax expert so this post is not to be taken as Professional advice. Its comment on what I know and thats all.

Too many people are waiting until just now to figure all this tax stuff out and GB has said many times, This is NOT new, this is an issue that everyone has been told about since 2009. If you didnt know about it then you haven't read emails and messages from paypal, amazon, ebay, etc.

If anybody is not sure that a 1099 was sent to their stealth account address then just file for an extension with the IRS. Then in July you call the IRS state that you have lost all your documentation to file your tax return with and they will email immediately what W2, 1099, Schedule K etc has been filed with them on your SSN. Then you can legally file with all the correct information available.

I know this because my CPA lost my paper work last year and I did this.
