not many people selling this item
boots, to be more specific w/o giving it away
its a bit discouraging
to sell a bunch a junk items then when i get real stock, boom, no sells.
i guess this is just a vent and to see who goes through the same

A couple of things come to mind...

First, summer is the WORST TIME for online sales. June, July and August are the worst. Sales pick up once the kids go back to school. People are out and about during the summer months and not online as much.

Second, is your pricing COMPETITIVE? A lot of sellers lower their prices during summer months. You do not necessarily have to have the LOWEST price, but if your price is significantly higher than what others are listing it for, it could sit forever.

Third, are these boots a seasonal item? I'm asking because I really know NOTHING about ladies apparel. I don't see too many women wearing boots in the summer, even if they are mainly for fashion.

Fourth, are you listing them in the best possible category? Do you have good pictures of them? Is there anything negative in your listing? Anything confusing? Is the listing title accurate and descriptive?

It might just be the heat. Here in Vegas, most people I see are in low cut shoes (white) or flip flops.

My sales always tank in the summer. Soooo frustrating, but part of the game.

Competition does play a part and as jeffweico stated...it's summertime and close to July 4th....vacation for people. I wouldn't expect a ton of activity at this time - especially with regards to particular market niches
