Default another annoying buyer

got another saying something is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ thats genuine, he opened a case, I told him to send back and I'd refund him. Got a message saying hes contacted customer support and they'll decide within 48 hours and then straight after another message that hes closed the case I guess by mistake.
That mean its done or will they still end up refunding him?

hes got a return request open and im supposed to pay return shipping

I'm literally going to explode, £8.80 just to send to him in germany and probably the same to get back. Let him open a case on the german ebay for some reason too

just refund the man his money cause aint nothing you can do :( , can get him to ship to next person who buys if you really want the item back...

I been threw the same thing.

I have my return policy in my listings and in BOLD. It always says buyer pay returns shipping. Obviously if they open a return case OR claim and select the one where its "our" fault then automatically we have to pay for shipping.

I've almost yelled at reps saying how stupid this is. Its the whole "buyers always right" and they basically tell you that when you get to the point of yelling at them. Once they open the case and WE have to pay its really non negotiable. I'm good at talking them into overturning things to but they NEVER overturn this.

Its stupid because if they aren't a honest buyer they will obviously open the case in a way they DON'T pay and that was my point to eBay that you make me pay for shipping before even knowing the specifics but oh well.

You must move on and just accept it or don't sell on eBay.

Yea it sucks I have been burned so many times on dumb stuff like this. I have no idea why but the summer months always seem to be the worst.

been going through these a few times now over the past month.... This is exactly what ebay rep told me, " Even with documents to proof your claim, we will always take the buyer words no matter what. You are obligated to accept a return and pay for the shipping cost". I've lost at least $50+ in return shipping cost.
