wouldn't pay if paypal was holding my money, not a chance. Not sure I'd even pay if they banned me to be fair as I wouldn't be happy with their service lol

I think not paying fee's is probably why so many here get their PP limited. I've never had pp limit my accounts.
Think about it. If you don't pay fees then all your info on your account (ip,name, address, phone, photos ) is going to be blacklisted. Meaning anything you do that they can connect you to will be linked. Poor customer service ratings is one thing but if you're costing them a bunch of money that's another they're going to do everything they can to stop the person who's not paying their fees. So if you make a mistake, somehow linked accounts, it's going down. Plus in the long run not paying fees will make it much harder for the rest of us.

maybe you don't think it does but you can go ahead and keep listening to people who don't pay their fees and get their PayPal limited keeping their money for 6 months. it's never happened to me and I always pay my fees.

Limited paypal is usually about the volume and/or the items you sell.

Now that they separated its even more unlikely jojo
Point taken though.
jojo.. If you get suspended from ebay and have a dozen people screaming refund, cancel transaction and paypal disputes start because of ebay scaring everyone that you're now gone from ebay the last thing i care about is paying those ****s their $250 in fees.

of course they have plans in place,
I'd still rather eBay be on the lookout for me because I have multiple accounts & not because I owe them money.

They will find the accounts when you mess up not because they are looking for you or not looking for you. They are looking for EVERYBODY.

eBay isn't looking for you because you stiffed them on a hundred dollars of fees....LOL! Especially not on a stealth account. They write it off on their taxes and move along. They have WAY to many powersellers to give a crap about us not paying our fee's. Trust me, they aren't hurting for your pocket change. |

Fine guys, why do you think they give new accounts a 5/500 limit? Why do you think they are working so hard on identificaton with public records? Your making it harder on all of us.

But ebay has already suspended those people, and deemed them unworthy of selling on ebay. Do you at all think, that perhaps the reason for them being suspended , is THE reason why new accounts are giving 5/500 limit and they work so hard on identifying you in public records?

And i am not pretending to be a do gooder. I always pay my fees, i always make sure my pay pal straight. I always take care of my customers. Screwing the system just makes ebay & Pp more suspicions, more cautious, more stringent & overall harder to sell on.

Nobody says you are wrong jojo2012 but it is a tiny part of the whole scheme.
All business have to deal with shrink. Ebay only gets stuck with small sellers fees. Big sellers pay them and here is why.
My last big ebay account I lost I paid over $29,000.00 in fees and now, today almost two years later, I kinda wish I didn't. My accountants and attorneys tell me I am downright stupid for paying them.
This is what happens:
30 day temporary suspension first. This suspension is done by the SRS department. You can not talk to this department. Ebay reps can not talk to this department. Everything is done by email and not through ebay messages. They pretty much promise that your account will be reinstated if you pay your fees, ship all orders and handle all disputes quickly.
The moment I paid my fees I got an extension on my temporary suspension for 30 extra days and then on the day of reinstatement I got kicked-off with a "call to appeal every 90 days email"
Ebay baits big sellers into paying those fees. Small sellers are a pee hole in the snow. Not worth bothering with.
If I did not pay those fees, nothing would have happened. They would have chased a Corp that held no assets and gave up within months. Ebay put that business out of business and cost a dozen people jobs.

I give up, you're all right don't pay you're fees. Don't worry about ebay getting harder for all of us. Don't worry about customers, or pp. and whatever you do don't try to convince me your right.
Im done with this thread.

I mean honestly....
If they thought giving high limits to new sellers didn't promote suspicious activity they would. The higher the limits the more money they get if the limits are used. By giving someone 5/500 that means generally speaking they'll only get 5 insertion fees and 500$ worth of fees (depending on category) but if they gave EVERYONE 1000/25,000 that would be different story. And they USED to do this, maybe not those limits but very high ones.
Back then eBay used to be sterotyped a high risk site to buy from. Sellers may disagree but when I was growing up eBay ALWAYS had that stigma attached to it. They have cracked down alot more since then..
It has everything to do with it, its not a "tiny" part.
