You can't in fact have 2 or more accounts, selling the same product .Not even in the same category of products. I've talked to many ebay reps about this.

Will you get banned? Maybe not. But can you ? Hell yeah, because you are circumventing selling limits. If you are selling the same products on multiple accounts, you are in essence selling twice as much of the same product, but spread over 2 accounts, instead of the limit you received on the one account.

You can have 2-3-4-5-6 accounts. I don't give a crap. But they are meant for DIFFERENT products. Different accounts in order to differentiate the product lines. So that you aren't selling automotive parts on the same account you're selling baby clothes.

Please stop picking out little pieces of what I said to disagree with. Read the entire post.

You can have as many accounts as you want, so long as you aren't violating eBay policy.

That includes search manipulation, selling limits, etc etc etc.

The end. Moving on....

Seriously man? I'm almost always on your side, and always defending stuff when I see it. I was agreeing with you on everything but one thing, and you give me **** for you?

NO, YOU read the entire post.

You responded to someone that said

EB rules say you can have more than 2 accounts, but the products being sold have to be very different.
And you disagreed with that person, and went on about ebay policy. Guess what. THAT IS EBAY POLICY. Putting the same products or the same type of products up on two accounts, IS GOING AGAINST EBAY POLICY. They have to be different types of products, because that's the only reason ebay would allow you to have more than one account.

You disagreed with him for absolutely no reason. You didn't need to say a damn thing in response to that one specific post of dallis, yet you still decided to do so.

And when I interject with valid information, you give ME **** for it? man, this is why people get pissed off at you. Even when people are on your side, you still go against them.

No, it isn't. Manipulating search or going around selling limits is.

If you have one account that sells Brand X or Baby Carriage, and another than sells Brand Y, that's ok. They aren't "very different" but it's also clear you aren't attempting to violate eBay policy. If you have 300 diffent items on Account A, and then put the exact same 300 items on account B, obviously you're manipulating search results. It has nothing to do with the two accounts, but rather clogging eBays search with the same item ("search and browse manipulation" policy)

Please stop spreading misinformation. :ranger:

I've spoken to multiple ebay reps, and they ALL agree. It has nothing to do with different brands. It's types of products that they are concerned about.

I in no way can setup an ebay store to sell Omega watches and another to sell Tag heuer watches, and another to sell Cartier watches. That would be against policy, because I'm selling watches, and I want to have more selling limit.

Hell, they even told me I can't sell in the same category or type of item.

I wanted to sell ONLY watch dials on one account. They said absolutely not. Because I sell watch parts, and that's a watch part.

Get your info straight and stop spreading misinformation

I'm not arguing with you anymore.

I posted an link with eBays own words on their policy. Believe what you will.

Jesus, do you not understand English or something? Pay attention to the bold.

Excepted from the EB policy page paragraph 1:

users who like to buy and sell may want separate accounts for each activity. Other users who maintain businesses on eBay may prefer to manage separate accounts for different product lines.

I've called again and again. I sell watch parts. I wanted to sell a specific watch part that I don't even sell on my main account. THEY SAID NO. Same product line.

If I wanted to open an account for jewelry, then that's fine.

That's the only thing being argued here, and the thing you don't seem to want to get over.

You can have multiple accounts, but they have to be FOR DIFFERENT PRODUCT LINES. Otherwise you are circumventing ebays listing limits, EVEN IF YOU AREN'T REACHING the limits on both accounts and aren't technically using the two accounts to increase your limit. Ebay doesn't give a flying rats ass. Two accounts. Same product line. Suspended.
