Default ProPay and Skrill Banned by eBay

eBay has announced that ProPay and Skrill will no longer be acceptable payment options starting on September 27th.

In the separation agreement between eBay and PayPal, eBay has guaranteed that PayPal will process a large percentage of payments on eBay for the next five years. Also, PayPal just raised their fees by 32% for high volume sellers.

"The move comes the same day PayPal raised fees for merchants processing over $3,000/month in payments - a 32% increase for higher volume sellers."

I have a ProPay account. I even offered it as a payment option for a long time. But nobody ever chose it. Buyers have been brainwashed that PayPal is the only SAFE way of paying, which is nonsense, of course.

I actually LIKED ProPay. Their customer service reps were always VERY HELPFUL, as opposed to the PayPal reps, who just read off of a script. PayPal might as well move to an automated prompt...

To appeal our decision and receive an instant denial, press 1.

To explain your unique situation, press 2 to be transferred to our brick wall.

To receive extra frustration, press 3.

To hear a canned answer to your question, press 4.

To speak with a live representative who can actually help you, press the "genie" button on your phone...
