Default Opening lots of returns on counterfeit items

Say, I am a specialist in a certain sector of goods. I see lots of sellers selling counterfeit replicas of such goods. If I buy, say, 10 pieces, 1 piece from each seller, and then open 10 cases with detailed reports (evaluation from manufacturers etc.) on why these items are ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Will it be treated like I am abusing moneyback programme, or it is ok to report any amount of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items through buying them and opening numerous disputes?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

My logic says that you should be fine, because you are doing honest work. EBay probably disagrees with me and you as well, might result in ban.

Also, perhaps just space the purchases a bit so it doesn't look like you are on a mission. Just do one purchase a week, just keep hammering and keep opening cases. Like one of my favourite saying goes:

Dont do it this way. Under a microscope anybody at ebay is smart enough to know what your trying to pull. I know this to be a fact because i have tried and failed at what your suggesting.
What does work is this: 5-10 stealth buyer accts, get on terapeak and find the top dogs in your niche and take em out one by one without raising suspicion. Make 5-10 buys from your victim, each with a diff acct. Then wait a week until you get all the products then start opening claims day after day until hes gone. It will look like multiple unhappy customers rather than one guy trying to screw everyone.
Get your investment back and keep his stuff for free since its foofoo. Then sell his stuff or trash it watever. Do this to the competition thats giving you problems and just out sell the weaker competition. You win

Opening 10 buyer cases in a short amount of time is abuse. What would stop every seller from purchasing items from every competitor and calling them counterfeit?

Well, there are different ideas about this. If I buy counterfeit, and report it multiple times from several sellers, am I breaking EB rules? I thought that if someone is selling them on purpose, he should be ready that someone like me will come and WILL open cases. What is my fault as a buyer?

Correct BUT people do not go onto ebay as a normal person and buy from EVERY seller just to prove it is counterfeit. That is no longer you as an individual buying. It is another objective altogether.

Another thing worth considering, how long before a niche gets saturated with sellers? you going to waste time kicking them all out? , I tend to admit to defeat and walk away, only because if their stealth, there's no harm for them, they just start all over again.

What the hell is this thread all about,,,,are you guys serious?,,,,Mind your own business,,,,,If the only way that you can compete in this life is to be some type of Rat Snitch,,,well, then you are in for a Looooong miserable life,,,

Let Ebay Police their own Site, NO ONE has the right to be some self appointed cleaner of EBAY,,,What if you somehow make a mistake, and cause someone to lose an account who is not selling counterfeits?,,,,Im willing to bet that that would NOT bother any of you guys who condone this type of s#it,,,,

99% of buyers know that the article that they are purchasing is most likely counterfeit but they still purchase it because it does NOT matter to them because they are getting what they want for a fraction of the real cost,,,
So, if you are selling the Real Deal, simple do as I do,,,Put in your Title and your Description that you are selling the REAL DEAL with a 100% Money Back GUARANTEE, believe me this WORKS, and I GUARANTEE it 100%,,,

I have been selling on Ebay since it BEGAN, selling in 100% Legit Electronics, which is the MOST Competitive and CUTHROAT catagory and have made TONS of money, NEVER, EVER resorting to such LOWLIFE Tactics,,,Ebay/Amazon cause legitimate Sellers enough Problems because they are constantly trying to weed out all the lowlives on their respective sites like sellers of counterfeiter items, AND BUYERS who have ulterior motives other than TRULY buying something because they want it,,,,,Ebay/Amazon would be a FAR better Place withOUT Either,,,

What a wall of highly emotional text, it seems that I've touched someone's feelings. Sorry, but this is not a question about morale, rats, competition or whatever comes to the head, but about HOW EB WORKS, so I am only interested in technical aspects, is it possible, or eBay disregards too much active Holy Cows - their buyers as well? Your stone-cold evaluation of this matter is highly appreciated. Thanks.

I think I did that. I even mentioned the term ebay has for it and why it is a problem to ebay.

Someone else told you what works for them.

Personally I would focus on more transactions.

What I don't understand is why people still buy iPhone chargers for $.99 and free shipping and leave neg feedback saying they're ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and cheap... you get what you pay for.

Some people, and they seem to be in large numbers on eBay, want to pay peanuts and then expect the red carpet to be rolled out for them

Seems to be an entitlement complex

exactly. Thats why the way to do it is have several buyer accts and make one purchase from each of them. So that way ebay doesnt know its all from one person.

eBay works and is profitable because of automation. When they have to get a human being involved in a transaction, it costs them money and they do not like that.

Reporting a counterfeit item is fine. eBay will make sure you get your money back. But reporting 10 sellers will mean that you have become a pain in the you-know-what to eBay and they are not likely to react well to it. While we are always complaining about the way eBay treats us as sellers, they DO close buyer accounts for excessive returns and complaints.

Many companies do. A friend of mine was never happy with his cellular service. He was always changing providers and being a pain to customer service. One day, he called Sprint and they told him he had 30 days of free service. They gave him the 30 days to take his business elsewhere. He practically begged them not to cancel his account, but they wouldn't budge.

I am just saying you should be aware that there is a definite RISK in what you are doing. First, because eBay will flag your account as having a high complaint ratio. But also because eBay KNOWS that a lot of merchandise on their site is counterfeit. If they wanted to stop it, they would do it themselves.

I agree with you 100% on this, if someone is selling counterfeit items listed as genuine items they need to be taken down.

and if ebay won't do it...

jeffweico, EB has clear rules about counterfeits, why should they ban a buyer if he bought a couple of items from different sellers, and they turned out to be a phake? Or you meant that this is risky only if a single buyer is having a lot of complaints?

So true. Also true that Ebay loves the fees these sellers pay them every month or else they would just ban all sellers shipping from China.

"They be like oh! That Gucci, that’s hella tight.
I’m like Yo! That’s 50 dollars for a t-shirt.
Limited edition, let’s do some simple addition,
50 dollars for a t-shirt, that’s just some ignorant bitch.
I call that getting swindled and pimped
I call that getting tricked by a business."
