Can't eBay tell you don't live there via delivery confirmation?
So I'm reading in this book about shipping out from an address that's far away from the 'item location' on eBay. There seems to be a good reason to not cluster all your users in one area, because that's one extra link that PayPal has. If there was a sudden surge in "Bondooglers" in an area, I'd think paypal's bots would notice. (It wouldn't be an instantaneous link, but the bots would eventually converge on the pattern after several hours/days.)
However, wouldn't eBay be able to tell you don't live there when you upload your delivery confirmation information?
Surely ebay checks this stuff?
If I said I lived in Florida and the item location was in Florida, but it shipped out from somewhere in Texas according to delivery confirmation, I'd think ebay/paypal would notice this and take note.
So how do you handle this aspect? I understand telling the customer you're drop shipping, but what about the ever-knowledgeable PayPal/eBay duo? Isn't that risky? What's a better way and/or the best way?
