I have never seen this message before.


Attention Sellers:
Buyers have high expectations when purchasing brand name items on the site. To make sure sellers are able to meet these expectations, limits are sometimes placed on sellers' accounts.

You've reached your limit for the type of item you're trying to list, and you won't be able list any more of these for 30 days. However, you may still list other types of items. These restrictions apply to all sellers, so please don't feel that we're singling you out.

These restrictions will remain on your account until you’ve received 25 positive selling feedback and completed 90 days as an active seller in good standing.

this seems to be limits on specific products.. not categories

It is a limit for ONE very tiny name brand that only existed for one year three years ago.

It was in the vero program because the brand was owned by a giant holding company.

This category has no restrictions at all. It is just this one specific brand.

this was probably something requested by the company to eBay to implement for their brand

I think they are singling you out!

I have also never seen this message before. It seems a lil rare.

I have seen that message many times in the days of my Beats selling, nothing new.

category restrictions or limits.

But if the company has been out of business for years, it seems odd.

Not at all. Extremely poor seller with little margin and the only other sellers are my wholesale buyers.

The regular category limit and the variation listing limit on new accounts I've gotten those off with a simple phone call and didn't have to wait 90 days. I'm not sure how much different this is though

It was Pradco Outdoors.

I owned the manufacturing rights and after a patent infringement they closed shop. I have 60,000 pieces to liquidate...

No big deal at all. I just never seen this message before.

This is usual for all "<25 feedback" & "<90 day old" accs trying to sell branded items.

I disagree seeing as I ONLY SELL MAJOR name brands and never seen it before.

Maybe in other categories but not sporting goods.

This is a microscpoic brand that was not in business for even a year lol

Maybe you just didn't sell in certain categories on fresh accounts? :) I always have this on young accounts.

My accounts get tax limited within 45 days. They only way they don't is it I stop selling on an account prepping for the holiday season such as now.

I have a few accounts selling thousands of items a month and the others are all less than 45 days selling :)

I am guessing that Pradco was expecting foofoo sellers and enrolled into ebays tighter vero system when they launched this brand.

Maybe. But these restrictions are category-based. So listing anything in this category should face the same limitation, not a a certain brand.

That is what you are missing. IT IS NOT A CATEGORY restriction.

I sell several hundred items a day in this category across many accounts. MUCH bigger brands.

It is a BRAND restriction

Ok, I see. Then it is a brand restriction. Something new for sure!
