PayPal payment unavailable even after eBay case was closed?
 

Hi Guys, I've been selling lots of items but recently had a Return Requested and also a separate Item not received case opened.

Very frustrating - one item stopped working, and the other one arrived a day later than eBays ridiculous estimated delivery date. During this time, I spoke with the buyers directly to resolve the problems, and both of them closed the case, but the payments in PayPal are still unavailable two days later, any ideas why?

I've had these things happen before, when someone opens a case, the payment will be on hold, but as soon as the case is closed, it will then be available. So why is it still unavailable now?

Is it a new account?
This is unusual but will most definitely be sorted out within the a few more days.

Its about 6 months old I think. Never had any problems with it, there's no issues or restrictions. I've had cases open and close before and then the money was immediately available again.

As of now, these two payments are still unavailable...

Sometimes it has taken me a few days for payments to settle or become available again after a case has been close or for cancelled order ex.. I would wait another day or two and then try to contact Paypal?

The age of the account doesn't matter too much in situations like this. It's probably a glitch or paypal thinks that someone else may be using the account(that was the reasoning when my payments from refunds were on hold).

As of now they are both still unavailable. The cases were opened on the 16th and 17th and were both closed on those days. Surely it should be available by now? Anyone had it happen for this long before?

This is a very unusual situation you're in to be honest. Give it another couple of days to see what happens otherwise contacting paypal would be the only other alternative.:juggle:
