Default Wave of suspensions

1) Got 1 listing removed today because of VeRO report. Anyone noticed increased amount of removals during last weeks?
2) In your opinion, does VeRO reports happen more, if listing is selling in US + EU + UK, or only in EU / UK / US?

First of all, you shouldn't be selling vero.
Secondly, since you are selling Vero anything can happen at any giving moment.
Thirdly, do not sell vero.

Also, it revolves around the DEFINITION of VERO.

To me, VERO just means a brand name product. So, when someone says they had their item removed by the VERO member, it tells me nothing about the authenticity of the product.

But some people use that word as a substitute for COUNTERFEIT.

But VERO does not necessarily mean counterfeit - it is an acronym for VErified Rights Owner. You can be selling a perfectly legal, legitimate item and have it taken down by the VERO member.

This.

People need to learn the definition of the word. For example, LEGALLY, you can sell your used copies of Rosetta Stone, or P90X, or whatever, but since eBay just defers to any request for takedowns, legitimate copies are unable to be sold on eBay. Although these products ARE VERO, they are NOT necessarily phakes.

Jeff is spot on as usual.

The only thing that causes more confusion than 'vero' is using the word 'verified' in the correct context!

You've had one listing removed by a VeRo member.

Why is this being classed as a "wave of suspensions" / purge??

I had 1 item removed today, a 250gb Samsung 840 ssd. It said that I was using a stock picture when the pictures was taken by myself. The message said it was notified by Samsung.

I laughed for a minute, put the listing on another account with almost the same pictures and it sold within 4 hours. Never had that happen to me.

I dont know, I guess the Christmas incidents might be starting early.

I can think of two vero companies that will yank a listing extremely fast. No matter if you posted a copy of the receipt, they'll still pull it. Ray Ban and Elevation Training Mask.
