This is the same as with them being able to see your MAC. The only way that they can see your folder location is if you actively allow some sort of plugin to see everything on your PC. You would have to click on something, a bogus web site might try to hide what they were doing by using some sort of popup asking if you wanted the web site to scan your PC or something but eBay would catch hell from any type of privacy company if they tried to sneak something like that in.

Clean your pics and you will be fine.

Because that's how the internet works. When you select a file to upload on your browser, your browser handles all the low level file operations on your local computer. The browser reads the file into memory, and transmit the file chunk from memory to the remote server (eBay in this case).

eBay does not handle the files on your local system. They only receive what your browser sends them.

That's a huge invasion of one's personal privacy and I highly doubt it. Callidus please don't take that personally.
