I only use amazon who send it direct, they refund me if the buyer wants to return it so not that bad. Had a amazon account banned but vcc's are fine for purchases |

| Most of my drop shipping items are 10%, but items that I buy on clearance and then sell, I usually make a 50% or more profit. For example, just bought a ton of boys Nautica T-shirts at a Peebles store that is closing. Bought the shirts for $ 2.10 each. They retail for $ 26.50. So I'll sell them for $ 19.99. And they are light, so they only cost about $ 2.00 to ship and all my shipping stock is free from the post office! |

I most defiantly won't be making this a long term business move NOR is this even a fraction of my REAL inventory. It seems like most sellers either commit or don't do it at all. In other words their entire inventory is drop shipping which is OBVIOUS.
I think having that little mix of drop shipping (if you can find a good one) will allow you another method of getting $$ and can't realistically kill an account. Sure I might have some slight issues with shipping, I know this already. I figure if I get some super mad customer I'll just refund them then give them a credit of $10 free or something....It's going to probably end up being a MAX 2 week delivery time frame which isn't great but I have enough sales to counter any issues that could arise.
Having a free $500 bucks a week is pretty nice doing NOTHING. I almost feels like stealing. ALOT of stores do this so I do know its apart of business. I have TRS and amazing feedback so doing this with a few items seems like a good move.

Most of my items come from Amazon. Sometimes Walmart or Toys R us. I just explain in my listings that I source the items from many places to get the best price. I also explain that I have an Amazon marketplace store, so that items may ship directly from the Amazon warehouse.
It's all in small print, but it covers any issues that might arise! |

Yes I do! And I use my Amazon Prime Store Card and get 5% back each purchase. Of course, AFTER I go through ebates and get a percentage back from them as well! |

That seems like it would be the hangup for many popular items.
So when you are selling on ebay, you are adding in the back side % for your markup or see that all as an add on bonus?

I only had 3 returns in December out of 151 items sold. They got returned to me. Then I print out the Amazon return label and process the return.
I make sure to sell items that have great reviews so that I don't have many returns.
The % back is just a bonus! |

The thing is the items I'm selling now are going for $99.99 and I'm selling them for about $174.99-$199.99.
So I have about 6 listings but with variations its totals about 40 items. I don't have 4 grand to buy all these items to have them sit in my inventory and sell when they do. I make good money but flipping prices $50 gets hard to do with a bunch of stuff even if I know I'll make a profit.
I think you know what I mean.....
The more money I'm making them better stuff I'm able to reinvest in. I'm getting there.

I just applied for the amazon card to get the 5% back and got denied. :pout:

the amazon prime store card (which is 5%) or the amazon visa which is 3%?
One might be easier to get than the other but both give a percentage back.
Also I almost forgot, I request gift receipts for my drop ship items if it's an option. Then no price on the receipt! |
