Default First post here...last eBay account...

Hi All...

I'm so glad to have found this site. It's like I'm able to breathe again after getting choked with multiple bans on eBay.

I have a quick question, but first I'll give some background.

I've been selling on eBay for 2 yrs now and had just the one account until Nov. 2014 when I opened a second account. Both account were running smoothly and sales went up and down due to basically not knowing what to sell. Then during 2015 I found a range of hot selling items and I opened another 4 accounts. So I had 6 in total....5 of them being used fully, one being used a little. Three eBay accounts each were linked to two separate Paypals.

The sales were piling in coming up to Christmas 2015.....so much so that I qualified for a PayPal merchandise advance. PayPal basically gave me £2500 to buy stock and I opted to pay them back at 20% of my daily earnings....basically each day at 8.30pm PayPal would deduct 20% from my overall takings from the day before. I paid them off in 35 days!

So then just before Christmas I opened another PayPal account and with it a new eBay account so that I could diversify into sports goods (new year approaching). I found two brilliant products and started to list. I sold 6 items in two days at average £50 per sale..... and then SHUT DOWN!

I was horrified to get email after email telling me that another account has been linked to an account that has been suspended.
I know now what I did was stupid. The new account was high risk. High value items from a new seller....and all my business addresses were the same. basically I did all the 'don't's that I've read about on here.

which leads me to my question.

one account has remained open through all of this.
all the details are the same as the ones suspended, so my question is...why?

is it because i owe paypal money for a merchandise loan? (i took out a second loan for £4k just before the shut down - they offered, i didn't want to offend...)

or may there be some other reason?

also, i rang eBay only about one suspended account, as I thought i had a chance to get it off the hook....unsuccessfully.

so should i chance ringing about the others?

or just be happy i still have one account left...?

thanks for any input in advance.

Definitely do not call in, you will bring attention to the other account and get it shut down,

Basically your on borrowed time with that account, not all links and suspensions are instant

It could be an hour from now or 1 or 2 months but if your details are the same it will be closed, so operate with that in mind.

Agreed... it's unfortunate but I've seen it time and again.. eBay waits until any fees are paid and then they shut you down. It makes no business sense to shut you down beforehand.

Take this time to learn eBay Stealth..

Thats one thing ill never do with accounts is pay fees ahead of time, i never understood why some like to pay multiple times a month and keep their balance to 0.

I feel it gives me some leverage over an account , if fees are always paid up before they are due,i feel that their decision to suspend becomes a no-brainer

That being said eBay will suspend accounts that owe fees and/or outstanding loans

The fact that, as you pointed out, you have a loan out on this one may be having an impact on how soon it gets shut down as well, maybe don't be so keen to pay it off so quickly this time like you did the last one.

The payments are automatically deducted by paypal and those terms are set before you get the loan.

Also there are threads where paypal has given a loan and than eBay suspended the account, and this is before the split

Welcome to the forums.
Sounds like you got here just in time. Get to work on multiple stealth accounts to replace the one you lost and to backup the one you know will be taken down soon. Thank your lucky stars it happened this way because for most people its much worse.

Ok guys thanks.

I'm still trying to digest all the info on stealth as I don't want to rush in and balls it up. I'm slowly getting my head around the whole issue....except for VPN's. Do i need to have a static VPN? or can I just reset my router each time i check a different ebay account (i know that will give me a Fresh IP each time but won't I need a VPN for every eBay account the other way?)

Welcome to the forum
You can actully use other methods to access the internet.

Do consider that before committing to VPN.

Please confirm these accounts are in real info?

Dont worry. We should have info to help to you.
