Having Defects Removed?

Buyer opened a case stating I only sent part of his order....after a long response back to him, he cancelled his case. I still have a defect for this. Can it be removed? If so, how?

I don't think you can.

Usually you have to "appeal" to win the case, in eBay's eyes at least. The run everything by bots so unless you speak with a manager probably no. It can be done, but the chances are slim, imho..

This is why its a good thing they are changing the defect system. I didn't try all that hard to get it removed but I had a defect last year from a buyer who opened a case I think 5 days after payment "Item not Received" or course it got delivered that same day.

You can appeal, and thell them that no any evidences from the buyer were received, so you assume the buyer is a scammer, so they will side with you.

But if it got closed by the buyer its closed meaning HE/SHE chose to close it.

What's to appeal?

Nothing..

You can't just appeal a defect directly. You have to appeal the case that it resulted from the defect. If the case closes by the buyer unless something has changed recently you can't appeal it. I haven't had this happen recently so I guess I could be wrong..

Re: Having Defects Removed?

What happened was this piece of sh*t had 0 feedback. My dumb ass made the mistake of accepting his offer on a lot of 3 items. He received it...SIGNED FOR IT. Waited around 10 hours, then filed a case saying that I only sent 1 of the items instead of all 3. I wrote out a VERY lengthy response, and within 20 minutes he closed the "return". I then did a user contact info request, got his number and all that....then he sends me a message saying that he "mistakenly" opened a case. YEA RIGHT! This was a few months ago. I've had a defect for it ever since...even though he was the one that closed his own return!

Its stupid but you gotta keep it movin.

I just added a EIN to one of my stronger accounts and I love the flexibility. It's great to have strong stealths along with throwaways. You can sell more (obviously) but when you have a stupid defect like yours its easy to gain alot of quick sales without the 200/20000 limitation which offsets the defect.

I wouldn't recommend it either. Bots will not be helpful
