Refund customers order to remove defect?
 

With this new ebay performance measure, on my "late delivery rate" it shows that I have received 8 of 147 transactions. My next evaluated is shown as Above standard instead of ebay top rated seller.

I was wondering.. If I cancel some of these orders. What would happen? Would it bring my score back up?

Pretty sure refunds/returns won't remove the defect, AFAIK the only way to get these removed is by calling eb and proving there was a legitimate carrier delay (such as snow storm).

Once a buyer pays eb sees you as fully obligated to ship on time and the package to arrive to them within the time-frame eB's system gave them... it doesn't matter what happens after that (refund/return).
