theres so many flaws in the OPs posts, first PAYPAL TELL him straight out the account is hacked - but you can ship the item.

That alone is lies - if paypal KNOW for sure an account is hacked its got more limitations than you can imagine, they arent going to lose 800$ for no one.

And what if he is buying 20 things from ebay a month, how do you know they arent paying it buy CC or loging into a diff PP to pay. Youve already made your mind up anyway and its already in the post no doubt. Pointless thread.

i think hes making the decision himself the guy is a scammer and paypal tells him its fine to ship it out thats why hes thinking about it.

Yes but it doesn't make sense for paypal to tell him it's a hacked account and also tell him to continue the sell. They would just shut the account down if it was really hacked.

No exceptions where paypal suspected hacked accounts, the payment was reversed .

cant you read! OP now clarifies that pp said it is ok to ship, it is OP who assumes it is hacked (talking of hacked, Ive just gotten hacked, so sore point - first time in 15 years)

is he shipping to a relative in PK? doubt account holder lives there, if he was in Uk before
and it is a UK account.

question is OP - what are you intending to ship?

I don't think you guys understand...

when buyer buys, paypal determines if it's seller protection eligible, not eligible or if they need extra time to decide. if they decide eligible when buyer buys, than they can't decide later not eligible.

I found it odd he lives in Pakinstan, I called Paypal, paypal looked into it, didn't say scammer just said it was "odd" and said they would block his account and ask for more info. Regardless, they told me it's eligible and they can't change their mind.

I contacted a few other of his sellers and now found a few other sellers his buyer bought from and shipped to Pakistan (they were cheaper items).

Also his buying stopped for ~2 weeks when I called in and they said they would restrict and ask for more info, but noticed today his buying resumed.

I took the money out and put in my bank. It's been 2 weeks now. Haven't shipped. Buyer hasn't asked. Sure would be great if he forgot and I scammed a scammer...but let's be realistic.

I do plan on shipping, signature, insurance. If not delivered, I'll be covered. If unauthorized, paypal will cover. if buyer complains not described he has to ship exact item back or i'd win.

The purpose of the post is, can you think of a situation where I wouldn't win? and how i can actually be scammed? that's what I need to know, but as i described above, I can't think of a way as long as I ship signature and insurance

i can think of the scenario where it turns out he is not scamming you and gives you negative feedback for shipping slow

Paypal phone reps don't work for their risk management department and they're full of sh1t. FYI, there has been plenty of cases where Paypal doesn't honor their seller protection and reversed the funds for purchases using stolen accounts and credit card. "Seller protection" means Paypal will try their best to fight for you in case of said incidences, but it's not a guarenteed siding for you.

The amount of stubborness and greed you're displaying in this thread is amazing. Since you don't want to take anyone's advice here, go ahead and ship out your item since it sounds like you clearly have gotten everything figured out yourself. You deserve to have your money stolen if things go wrong after being warned so much about it.

To be eligible for seller protection you have to send within 7 days of receiving payment....

You'll have the 800$ in PayPal for a few days but ultimately end up losing money and jeopardizing your account when they open a case or whatever they do. Cancel and move on.

op already withdrew money, apparently doesn't care about the account, and the $800 was worth more then the account because he already withdrew and didn't even ship

So you think you scammed the scammer because the money isnt in the account and youre willing to trash said account.

Youre on the wrong forum.

You seem to want justification to steal the money.

I know one thing I learned alot from this website just to stay alive up and running on the honest side, just to see someone take some money and run, well sounds like a very THIRSTY M.F. to waste a good account. Well done deal, all the good advice given by you guys thumbs up, some of us do listen and follow the ins/outs. So keep up the good work I'm sure you got better things to do with your time! Thanks again guys.
