Returns rate

Just noticed "Returns rate" in the new Seller dashboard. Does this metric affect anything, or is just for information? It seems that it is outside "Seller level" section, so does not affect it, but maybe it does?

Re: Returns rate

It can affect that. Here is a portion of the spring 2014 newsletter

eBay wants sellers to have a low percentage of "defective" transactions, since transactions that don't go well for buyers are likely to hurt eBay (and thus eBay sellers) over the long run.

eBay considers a transaction to be defective whenever any one or several of the following things apply to it:

A DSR score of 1, 2, or 3 under "Item as described"
A DSR score of 1 under "Shipping time"
The buyer leaves negative or neutral feedback about the transaction
The buyer requests to return an item while indicating that it was not as described in the listing

Re: Returns rate

This is really outdated info. I ask about the Feb 2016 change. I have some returns rate, but it does not seem to be in the "Seller rating" section, so I wonder if it affects my account somehow, and if yes - what are thresholds?
