Best Day / Time to End Auctions

Hi!

I have been doing research about auction scheduling / ending times and duration for eBay in the US.

The prevalent trend I find is that people say Sunday evenings are the best, thought it depends some on what you're selling. Peak visitor-ship is on Sunday evenings though. Most of the articles / posts I have come across in my research are at least several years old though.

Do you guys have thoughts or strategies that you would be willing to share on the best time to end auctions?

I am currently selling pretty normal household stuff - clothes, books, arts and crafts stuff, collector's items, etc.

I did have a bunch of auctions end on Sunday two weeks ago, and seemed to notice a uptick in sales.

Depends on what you are selling and category. I usually end my auctions around 5pm-6pm West Coast Time...

Like Empire said, also you gotta take into account who your customer base is.....I predominantly sell to Women so I tend to end my listings around noon. When I target Men, I end after 8pm.

Sunday late afternoon/evenings seem to work well for me too

In general, stay away from Friday afternoons, Friday evenings, all of Saturday and Sunday mornings. Those are historically have the least amount of people online.
