Default Stealth Address?

Just wondering what some of you use for your stealth address on eBay?

I can't use my own address as its linked to my suspended account and I'm not keen on using a family members address incase anything gets sent there. I looked into opening a PO box but they are pretty pricey especially when nothing is going to be getting sent there. I will be including return forms with all orders with my real address.

I usually use a corner gas station or tire store in my area. I do not use PO Boxes either. Most times, I will just refund the buyer and allow them to keep the item.

Just refund and let them keep it, or you could ask a friend if you can use their address. As long as they don't use eBay so if anything ever happened you don't mess them up too.

Depends on if you need returns, or if you can be creative and work around the returns issue, but this is what I do:

Go to a property for sale website.

Search houses 'in need of modernisation' or look at pictures for those that are.

Specifically, these homes will have tell tale signs of 1960s/70s wallpaper, old stained carpets, old gas fires, some may show pictures of old 1940's and 1950's furniture. Armchairs in the kitchen are also a giveaway.

Now these homes are very, very likely to have been owned last by an older generation which, as the photographic evidence will back up, did not have many modern comforts. You can therefore use these addresses knowing there is an extremely high probability factor that no ebay or paypal account has ever been used at this address before and therefore no accounts with bad history have existed here.

Now that is a good idea, I never thought about that before will definitely do that. Might be a stupid question but should the address be sort of close to where you actually live? Can they tell by your IP address what area your in? or does it really not matter.

It doesn't really matter. If you have lots of stealths than I would tend to spread them around a bit. If you only have 2 or 3 then it is better to keep them within a 10 mile radius. Reason being if you wanted to take advantage of Argos 'click and collect' it is more practical to 'live' close to a local branch.

I bought a PO Box and it only cost $25 for 6 months. The post office I found allows for packages to be sent to the PO box number and they will simply stash them for pickup.

I go by location.. If I have a Dedicated IP address in London. I will create an account in London. I will also type in Google "houses to rent in london" I will then choose a house find out how many house numbers their are on the street and if 100 is the maximum house number on the street. I will then add my own address number so I woud add 101 knowing that nobody would of ever lived their as the house number is made up.

I would much rather use a place that exists than a place that does not.

Or you could simply add a 'a,b,c,d' or 'flat 1,2,3,4' to an existing address number as if the property had been converted into flats, bed sits. It wouldn't flag on address systems.

The cheapest they are here for 6 months is about £150+ (approx $220), so its a bit expensive for just an unused address.
